I used to be friends with this douche in freshman year and I started ignoring him to let him realize that I hate him so much.  What I found out that he does is acts like me... He tries to be like me... I will tell you a little about myself when it comes to school.  I talk to people in some of my classes and some of the time I would shout out words randomly to be funny and make fun of the people I do not like. (I know what you thinking, I am immature and obnoxious.  Not true, this is the way I act in school cause I hate it so much).  I am also a funny person that would make jokes and do hilarious things.  That is who I am at school and that is what he acts like in school.  He even laughs at me, what do you think I want to do...bash his head open and shove his two arms up his butt.  I am almost to my limit where I am about to beat him up.  I really am getting tired of him trying to be me.  Guess what!!?? Another thing he does is laughs like me.  WTF!!!?? I just want to freaking kill him.  I don't do crap to him and he just pushes my buttons.  Whenever he talks, I just want to go and punch him in the face.  I do not want to do this because I have seen a fight in school and it does not turn out good cause you can get into a lot of trouble.  I don't care if I do it after school when he walks with his dad to the car.  I don't care if I beat him up in front of his dad, I'll punch his dad in the face for making him.  What should I do?  I have thought about going to a counselor about this, but it would be like a waste of time since they would just usually say to just ignore it.  I can't stand this enough, it is time he gets what he deserves and I can't be myself if he is in the other room because all I think about is killing him.  I need to find a way to get out of this and hopefully not see his ugly face again.  Ugh!? I am at my limits!! ><

Marcmoney : Have you ever heard of the saying "Imitation is the best form of flattery"? If he is trying to be you, you should feel flattered. But honestly, just because he is "acting" like you doesn't mean he is trying to act like you. What you are saying really doesn't sound all that bad. Why do you have to be the only person that's allowed to act like that at school? That doesn't seem fair to anybody. I would say you should probably try talking to a counselor because it really seems like you have some anger issues you need to deal with. Violence is not the right answer. In high school it never is. You really just need to be able to find your happy place when you are around him to control your anger.

Here, let me put this in a way that you would understand.  We used to be friends, till I realize that all he does is being disrespectful and unsupportive.  That is why I have hated him ever since and he is still trying to be me, try to have the same talkings, the same laughing, the same walking, the same jokings.  He is trying to get rid of his personality by throwing it to me so that I would be like him.  F***k that, I don't want to be like his sorry azz.  I'd rather get s*** all over by an elephant, I'd rather go rape a dinosaur while being shred to pieces by a wolf.  I rather die than to have his personality.  You get the picture.  He tries to leave his own personality to have my personality.  It is so annoying to see this everyday because I am about to go insane.  How would you feel if someone you hated was making fun of you and you realize that he is trying to be cool like you?  It feels like s**t on s**t.  I found out that if you get into a fight, you get suspended for a few days or a week.  I can handle that, but I don't want to take a chance on messing up in school than getting revenge (even though I'd rather get revenge than work on school).  I got an idea, I will do the same thing back to him.  I'll make fun of him and see how he likes it.  If he is going to say crap back, I'll be the first one to throw the punch (I don't care).

Marcmoney : I'd still suggest at least trying to talk to your school counselor. You seem to have some anger issues that you need to take care of, after which hopefully you can just talk to this kid and tell him what he's doing that you don't like. Just remember, once high school is over (don't know if you are a junior or a senior), you'll never have to talk to or see this kid again.

I understand that it is really annoying. I even get the whole 'wanting' to punch someone in the face. But the detail you go into and saying you would punch his dad in the face (and even saying you are willing to beat him up while he is walking with his dad) really makes it sound like you need to work out some things. If you are about to lose that much control over yourself over something like that, even if it has been going on for a long time, you need to work on some coping methods. Nobody ever said you have to take his old personality just because he is acting like you. I assume it isn't like he is stealing all your friends. I have worked with a lot of kids and young adults in my line of work, and kids who go that far to imitate someone typically does it for one reason. They are lonely, they see that people like you, so they just want to be liked too. Clearly, he doesn't want to be who he is, but instead of changing things he doesn't like about himself, he just drops his own self altogether. I do not know this kid, so it is possible that that isn't the case, but it typically is. Kids who do things like that not in the intention of just pissing someone off does not need a beating. That is the last thing they need. They need self esteem. If you decide to just beat him down, it is just going to make him feel lower than he probably feels. I don't think you are the type of person who wants to do that to others. You seem pretty nice from many of the other things I have seen you say. I hope you don't take this as me taking his side or just putting down what you are saying. I'm just saying that if he is in that majority group, and isn't doing this specifically to piss you off, try to understand it from his point of view. But even if he is doing it to annoy you, he clearly knows it is working because you are very hot headed about this. I would suggest that you think it over. Ask yourself if you want this to be the type of thing that makes you lose control of yourself? Most of the time, it is hard to decide to not let something bother you. But you can control how you deal with it, and the way you are leaning is not worth it. Not just the whole suspension thing, but what you can do to this kid if he is in a position where he has little self esteem already. Don't be that person who pushes a kid like that to his literal breaking point. Good luck to you, and I hope things work out peacefully.

Eddy88 :  I remember that Sponge bob episode (wanna blow his head off cause of his annoying laugh lol), that is kind of it, except that he does not mock me.  He is a wannabe me that tries to piss me off.  And you think that I would get punched in the face!?  Have you seen this person before? (no.) He is so skinny and weak that I can lift him up and throw him all the way to the end of the hallway.  He is weak and I work out basically everyday.  So don't say that it can result with me being punched in the face.
rcarter2 :  No, I would not be friends with him cause all he does is makes fun of me of what I do.  I hate ending up in fights, but if I have to cause my guts are pushed to my limits, I will do something.  This is not the only time that has happened to me before.
In freshman year, there was this Pakistan that was friends with me.  I did not seem to like him cause he would interrupt me and I could barely understand him.  So I stopped talking to him and then I started hearing things about him saying some mean things about me, that is when I started to get a little annoyed.  Then a couple weeks later, my good friend told me that he was still calling me names and making fun of me and that is when I lost my temper and after lunch, I went to his locker and pushed him to it and he pushed me back and I yelled at him saying something about beating the crap out of him for saying crap about me.  Till I realize that I saw a teacher behind me that didn't notice the fight and I just told him that he was so lucky that we were on school property.  I was literally about to throw the first punch till I saw that teacher, if I didn't see the teacher, I would probably end up being in trouble.
This has only happened once in my life where I was being messed around.  I don't want this to happen again, only this time, there may not be any holding back.  If I find out that he is calling me names or making fun of me one more time, I will do the same thing that happened 3 years ago.

As far as the screaming to be funny do not worry about it that is called high school. We all hate it and we will all scream just to be funny. I have been sent to the office many times because of screaming out inappropriate things. I wonder how long till they figure out that is a reward?

Anyway I have a lot in common with your story. There is a kid who got me arrested last year and he thinks that we are best friends. We used to be until he tried to plant a crime on me and succeded. I hate him now and he copies me every chance he can get. I want him to go away I hate him so much.

You can't do anything about it. They are dicks you have to spend 4 years with them that is it...

billythekidmonster :  Last year, I had a class with him and I asked my counselor to swap that class with a different period so I don't have to see him.  This year, it is messed up. I have 2 classes with him and I can't do anything about it because I can't swap those classes. If I were you, I would have killed that person for putting you in jail.  That is ridiculous.

Marcmoney : Yep I have f***ing criminal record because of that c**t. I really hate him and I did threaten his life. I again got a court visit for that because him being the sneaky bastard he is recorded it without me knowing. There is no defense for that. Though that just resulted in a fine.

I would suggest talking to somebody. If they don't help, beat the s**t out of him so bad he won't be able to move his mouth to say it was you.

Marcmoney : I get that the guy is annoying... but take a step back and read your posts while pretending they are someone else's. You are coming across as being filled with rage and wanting nothing but violence.

You're in your senior year now right? Only less than a year to put up with him and then you never have to see him again. It is not worth getting into a fight and ruining your senior year for that. Most schools have a policy that if you are coming to or leaving school and you get into a fight, it is the same as if you were on school grounds. So unless you are planning on tracking him down on the weekend, you're going to get suspended... plus he could have you arrested for assault and battery. Hell, even shoving him is battery. You are lucky that other kid didn't know that and press charges, so do not put yourself at risk again.

Like others have said, I think you should talk to a counselor. Maybe not about the anger and violence issues, but about the fact that this guy truly does bother you and that you do not want to be in the same class as him. They can't move you around, but maybe they can move him? Or call him in and try to get through to him that what he is doing is bothering others and he needs to stop it.

Elara : I find it kind of ironic that the thought of pressing charges didn't even cross my mind. My older brother got arrested because during a fight, he picked up the guy, suplexed him, which hit his head to the ground, knocking him out, and giving him a concussion. He was arrested later that day even though there were witnesses all saying the other kid threw the first punch. He had to go to court and had a lot of community service to do.

That might be something else to keep in mind.

rcarter2 : That sucks for your brother... but I am assuming the other kid did very little damage in comparison, which is why the assault charge held water in court. I hope he has learned from that experience that just because you can pummel someone doesn't mean you should.

I got into only one fight in my life, back in 6th grade. Honestly it was the one time I was happy for the whole "Oh it was just a cat fight" stereotype... they just put us in a room to talk while making coffee filter snowflakes until we said sorry to each other. I had her in a choke hold and could have done serious damage!

Elara :  Your right, I just thought of a way to calm myself down.  Just ignore him.  My father had a meeting with one of my teachers that the person I hate is in the same class as me and I hope that it went well because if there is nothing that my teacher will do, then I will be pissed.  I have two classes with him and one of them is 1st period and 6th period.  1st period is a nightmare.  He talks nonstop and will not stop sniffing and laughing.  I can't believe I have to go through this and if I am shocked about what the teacher said. "We will be practicing saying firing and hiring and promotion to each other."  I hope she does not mean that because I do not want to say anything to that annoying bastard.  In 6th period, it's a study hall, so it is usually quiet most of the days, but when he starts laughing in there, I usually look at him and I see him looking at me some of the time.  I don't know if he is trying to make fun of me or something, but he needs to stop looking at me.  I am usually a disturbance in that classroom.  Yesterday the teacher told me that she is moving me into a different seat.  I didn't do anything but laugh and did a few disturbing noises.  the rest were doing it more than me, come on, I love where I am sitting.  Good thing that I have no school today because I am hoping that she will forget from the 3-day weekend. Anyways, the only problem I am having trouble with is 1st period.  Why does my day start out with him being in the classroom.  I just feel like throwing up.  The worst part about it is that there is only 3 students taking the subject, the rest are taking a different class in the same room with us.  3 people...that is me, him, and this girl (who talks to him, which I don't care).
Give billythekidmonster a break Elara, I would say it too if I got framed for something that never happened to me.
rcarter2 :  My brother told me that he got arrested for stealing cigarettes, which he didn't from a person in the car.  The person gave it to him and I think he framed him.  I do not remember the entire story, but what I think is that the person framed him...or something.

Marcmoney : Do you actually have to go to study hall? As for that first class... yeah, that sucks. But he isn't worth it. Once you get out of high school there are going to be people that you hate but you are going to have to deal with them, it's just a part of life. It seems like he is purposely trying to get a rise out of you by doing this, and you are playing into his hands, so ignoring him really is the best way to deal with it. He's not worth your time, not worth your anger.

And I did give him a break. That word is a bannable offense and I just gave him a warning. If'd he'd called the guy the n-word you wouldn't be defending him, and there is no difference, nor should there be.

Is your father meeting with the first period teacher or the sixth period teacher? I also hope it goes well.

Also... why don't the teachers get on this guy for being so loud and disruptive? It would appear that they go after you.

Elara :  My 1st period teacher.  I do not know why, but he is not loud as what you are saying.  Like he would just chuckle and just talk normally, which can get me annoyed cause I don't like hearing his voice.  I hope that the teacher will be able to separate us from assignments that may involve with talking to each other.  The good thing about it is that I am a senior and that seniors get to leave school earlier, which really is helpful in the end.

Sometimes you have to deal with people you don't like. That is part of life. Seriously, reading your posts, it seems like the problem is not him, it's your anger issues and the fact that you are unable to calm down and be mature about the situation by simply ignoring people who bother you.

Marcmoney : Yes. Annoying people suck. The only factor you can change for sure is yourself. Let that kid know hes not even on your radar by ignoring him. By even ranting about him here you are devoting time to this kid. You are continuing a relationship with him in your own mind. I'm sure you have so many positive things going on in your life that would benefit from your energies being focused there instead of turned into anger.
