I say that you have to put in physical effort for it to be a sport. I think that you should probably be sweating from work. So I do not count video games as a sport.

A sport is basically something both competitive and physical. If either or is lacking then it isn't a sport.

To me, an activity doesn't have to be physical for it to count as a sport. A sport can be something that you enjoy doing a lot, and strive to be better at, and not necessarily contain a lot of physical work.

For example, take the sport of racing cars. There, you don't really do a lot of physical work. You're sitting in the car and sweating from the heat, but it's not like you're running or lifting something heavy. And yet the sport has millions of fans that come out to watch races happen all the time.

There's also the sport of bowling. You don't do much physical work in that except lift a heavy ball, and that ball is designed for you to carry comfortably. So there's no real labor involved, but ask around and you'll hear that bowling is also a sport.

So I argue that it doesn't have to be physical or competitive with other people in order to be a sport. It's just an activity that you have a passion for and can always strive to get better at.

Yeah, I think a sport that involves some sort of competition that normally leaves strains and other things from physical exertion or restraint.
