I own a Gtron SNES controller that i got off ebay for like $20. It feels just like the real thing. I absolutely love it. I would say having a controller and having the program Xpadder  is a must for any vizzed user. With xpadder i can make any button on a controller any key on the keyboard. So even if a controller doesnt work with a game or emulator, i can force it to by making the controller control the keyboard. If i had to do it over again though, i would purchase an n64 controller first, if only for the analog stick. Having only a d-pad limits you severely when trying to use it for N64 games.

I use my PS3 controller for games that I feel need the advanced schemes of one. For NES games that are just 2 buttons anyway, a controller feels overkill though. I mostly use controllers outside of RGR on actual PC games and the like. I prefer to use my PS3 controller wirelessly because I don't have a long enough USB cable to use it plugged in comfortably.

I finally caved-in and bought a wired Xbox 360 controller to play Sonic Generations on Steam after countless unnecessary deaths due to the keyboard controls. Since Sonic Generations was a 360 port, that controller is the best. Got it cheap on Amazon at the time and it works for everything on here as well.

I used to, but the back left button broke, and now I can't use it.   It is a lot better for 3d games, because the analog sticks really help. I can live without it though. For systems that don't have an analog stick though, a controller is kind of useless, because then, I find the keyboard easier.

Yes I have I mainly use a 360 controller picked up from Gamestop. I also have a converter for a Gamecube controller to USB it works great. Have had a few problems getting both to work on some games such as zombies ate my neighbors for SNES but for Nintendo games using both has worked great.

Playing Star Fox and Star Fox 64 are really hard to play with a keyboard.

I don't I don't really see how that could work, I just use the keyboard. I think it would be cool and probably fun if I could use a handheld game controller and try to play Retro Game room games on it like that. I just wish I could make it work though. Other than that I use the keyboard for basically everything else. I will try to experiment with using either a gamecube controller or my wired xbox controller and hopefully see if I can somehow plug it in and make it work. I think it would be a little easier on my hands if I used an actual controller like that.

I use a ps3 controller when I play emulator games but games made for pc are better with keyboard and mouse for me. Console games are just too hard to play using a keyboard unless your playing atari, nintendo and sega.

I use an XBox 360 controller, and it was dead easy to set up. All one
needs are the drivers from Microsoft; other than that it's plug and
play.

I always use the controller in the RGR mostly because it
feels more natural. I like to use it for most games, in fact. The only game I'm playing now that I don't use the controller for is Fallout New Vegas. It's always been easier for me to control a first-person game through the mouse.

Nope I don't use a PC controller because to me it feels awkward to use,I much prefer the keyboard like I do with games in the RPG that would play better if you used a controller for some of the games there.

For playing games on vizzed, I would use the keyboard because I'm not used to using a controller on a small screen but for my ps2 and ps3, I obviously use controllers because I'm used to using controllers on my big screen TV.

I use my PS3 controller. I don't use it all the time, but I do use it whenever I play NES games on here. It makes the game much more easier to play and it makes it more enjoyable. Using the keyboard to play some games is difficult for me, but sometimes its fun.
