Seeing how I already live in the USA, I'm not trying to sound stuck up by making a poll like this but I just thought it'd be interesting to see what everyones opinion is of USA and if people would honestly live here if they could.

Neyro: it already is over.... don't you watch the news? Putin is the newest Russian Dictator. Just because they are having "elections" in Russia soon doesn't mean there is a democracy in Russia. When the opposition parties are silenced and the news media is owned by corporations loyal to Putin you can't exactly have a democracy.


And I voted maybe on the question. I have no problem living in the US really.... it would just be an adjustment. I've lived in Canada for so long I think there is a natural ability to dislike the US for no really good reason. But I would if I had a good reason to live there..... I don't HATE the country, I HATE this PART of the country. My dad's friend who was a fellow firefighter had cancer and was on sick leave, waiting for his pension, and the state held the pension and kept it away from him and didn't provide him the money to get treatment, so he died and the state kept the money. It's not a third-world country as far as cars blowing up and terrorists running around, but it horrifyingly resembles it as far as I have to watch out for being shot everyday, they taxed my dad's friend after his death, taking 55% of his kids' college fund, and other money in the BANK. New England is the worst type of England I've seen. The heat bill is insane and costs more than rent, so people have to use space heaters as primary heat sources, leading to 100% of the fires around here. And on top of all that, the state's schools aren't getting ANY money from the state for new books, electronics for efficient learning, and cleaned up rooms. It's been nearly 1,400 days since the firefighters got a contract, and the police get everything they want even though firefighters, even on their deathbeds, won't even get paid most of the time. If I can't move to England, Seattle's my second option.

I live here and am ashamed of it. Since our country is the richest it is also the most corrupt. I'm thankful for some of the things but as far as how our system operates, it is messed up bad.

Yeah, the weird thing is, people who work hard for jobs where I live don't get the job, some under-qualified person does. I went to like... 12 places for a job, and at all 12 times I was denied over some jerk who didn't even speak English. There's positions and jobs in all the wrong places where I live. Not to mention, if you work for 25 years and make 500,000$ you could make that in 25 seconds on a game show.... What a waste of money

That is a very ignorant thing to say. Not to attack you but the US might be the most corrupt FREE country but how can you even say the US is more corrupt then countries that don't even have real elections for leaders.

Did you know the Internet was originally a military application that was a source of communication what couldn't be smashed or hacked(Interrupted). So like if you need help in Russia, you wouldn't have to go through Iraq to get to Saudi Arabia, straight communication. Then some Swedish guy redid it as a civilian thing, and thus the World Wide Web was born. Now they're trying to go for a Grid system, or a 3d type of Web.
