Some profiles have way to much going on with graphics bouncing around which causes a lot of the links on the page to be unclickable.  I'm fine with people changing the way their profile looks by replacing the background graphics and such because that's pretty cool but when you've got stuff on your profile which causes issues with the page, than there's a problem.

Why are we judging here?  THey like all the action, the movement, the blocky screens, the confusing set-up and lay-out.... but that's what they like.  I don't know that you should decide you don't like it and change things.  If it completely messes with the page, okay, I see it.  But using "annoying" isn't nice.  Call it busy.

There's no accounting for taste, sure, but instead of wiping things out, try this:

Disable animation.

I can see what I want to see without dealing with them.  Is that available?  Let them have their bouncy stuff.  it doesn't seem to affect me.

However, those two are staff members for example. David needs to be able to access their profiles for various things. As such he needs to be able to use it.

So in this case I have to say staff be held to a different standard.

Annoying isn't nice? Well he could have said it a lot worse and said it just looks like sh!t

Things that float around are annoying period. Do you like going on sites with things floating all over and boxes popping up left and right?

Its just like with post layouts, if they interfere with the pages display or elements then it should be removed.

warmaker : Exactly as legacyme3 said.  When users have profiles like that, it's impossible for me to modify their user accounts when I need to because most of the links on the page aren't clickable.  If a profile makes a site page no longer work properly, that doesn't benefit the site in any way.  None of the header links on their profiles work so there's no way to navigate from their page without pressing back.  I'm looking at this from a webmaster and seo perspective (also keep in mind that it could mess up or freeze up someones internet browser).  Also, a user could come across those pages and think that's the way vizzed looks and instantly think vizzed is unsafe or has viruses because it's usually those kinds of sites that have pages like that so it overall makes vizzed look bad. 

Knowing septembern, he probably did do it to be annoying.

yeah, there is a difference between creativity and annoyance. Some things are annoying and inconvenient. What septembern did actually interferes with his profile page. That doesn't really work well.

The only thing that annoys me about septembern's profile was all the stuff backwards, the scared yet image and that raining Viz

UserMikes however just got a bit annoying with all the stuff going on like the cursor and the ps2 link at the top.

I think all users should be allowed to do is have a custom background and maybe so colour edited links as long as it's readable.

No weird graphics going on everywhere else. That could get annoying.

Ok, clearing some things up. I wasn't intentionally trying to be annoying. I just had some broken html and stuff from things I had tested a while ago and forgotten to clean up.

Ya those are kind of annoying and I think that it is good that they are being asked to fix them cause they always glitch up for me.

The only things I found annoying were the tons of gifs that make UserMike's profile lag and those things that float in the corner.
If I remember right, he had the playstation logo covering the image to the RTR.

Yeah, I found those floating images of Viz and a gold currency to be annoying on UserMike's profile, but really, I don't mind if they customized their profiles to a different background or a re-coloring of their words, I wouldn't mind, but I don't like pictures obstructing links and access. =/

So, in all, I agree with David. It is pretty cool, but there are a difference between cool and a problem. =P

Davideo7 : I edited out all the Viz gifs, but then half of my html went bad again. It seems that after you edited it, then it started working again... can you edit it once and do nothing so all html goes active again?

The only annoying bits I felt were mikes random crap, like the currency/cursor etc.

As for septs, for me it was mostly the reversed thing.

I agree that annoying profiles with the floating crap make it hard to move around/click stuff, and the two users I've seen have fixed it.

Just a question, my profile has a custom cursor, does that make it a bit bad?
