I FEEL TERRIBLE! Not to long ago probably not even a hour ago , my family and I made the decision to euthanize my lovable hairless rat Mrs.Umfy I feel evil! I feel like I did the wrong thing..... my mom and my dad are getting submarines and pizza to cheer me up . I'm in shock. My thoughts are jumbled up. She was like my best buddy!! I MISS HER SO MUCH!!!!

Sorry to hear that....

Was there a reason why your pet rat had to be euthanized?

Wow, bummer to hear... I've had plenty of pets die, but never euthanized; I can imagine how much that sucks... um, you just have to learn how to move on; sorry, I'm not that sensitive of a guy so if I'm not sounding consultative, I'm trying

The lost of a beloved pet is devastating for some people, but think of it like this. If your pet was sick and suffering. Mrs. Umfy is in a better place now enjoy the wide open field hanging out with her ratty buddies and families. I know the feeling. I miss my chow dog very much. He was my very first pet, but I know he's in a better place.

The reason why my pet was euthanized ( I'm having trouble with spell check I don't know if this is how you spell euthanized. )  was because she had no quality of life left. She had a tumor in her brain. The vet said at the most she had a month left. The tumor was making it so she had to drag one of her legs. The other one was working in overdrive. Her muscles in the leg that could still barely work was twitching. My mom and my grandma want to get me a cat. I want a snake but, I still miss my baby a lot.

I can understand why you feel bad for euthanizing your pet, but believe me you did what was best for your pet. Back in 2003 I had a dog that was diagnosed with cancer in the middle of summer. The veterinarian said he would not live past Christmas. My dog slowly lost his strength to walk --to the point where my dad had to carry him out of the house so he could "use the tree." I was distraught. I could not go with my dad to the vet hospital for the euthanization.

Aww, sorry to hear about that!

My two cats died a natural death, but what's sad is that they both hated me for no reason. They were pretty feral too, since they always went outside, and never came back inside.

But the one thing that made me remind of...

My grandma's dog, a golden retriever, died from a heart tumor. I was gone for 3 months, so I didn't hear for a while about this, and I was heart-crushed to hear that my favorite dog died a long while ago, and I didn't even pet her in a while.

That's how I know you're probably in the grief stage I was before, and I wanted to let you know that the pet you loved will be always with you in your heart, and it is in a happy place.
