The worst book I've ever finished was a book I was forced to read for my AP English IV class in high school:

"The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation Vol. 1: The Pox Party"

It was bland, the characters were forgettable, and the only interesting part was the part where people were dying from smallpox. It's pretty bad when the horrid death of many many people is the only interesting part of the book.

I personally HATED 'Catcher in the Rye' by J.D. Salinger. =| I was forced to read it for my junior year English class. It bored me and I wanted Holden to stop whining - to put it simply. Plus, the book doesn't have much of a plot. It's just Holden whining about what 'phonies' everyone are and him being mean to everyone. Ugh.

I also really despised 'The Stranger' by Albert Camus. It was a book I was forced to read for my AP English class, senior year. I get why it was supposed to be bland. The main character is emotionless, to put it lightly. Even so, I did not like that it nearly put me to sleep. =| (Maybe it was just the translation of it, though. Iunno.)

Titanic 2020: Cannibal city! All i remember was that the writing was weird and that it had nothing to do with titanic except for the fact that they had a boat. I think it was all about some stupid infection which turned people into zombies...
