Boards seem to get negative threads more than positive threads and people always find things to complain about.  Here's a chance to post about something wonderful. 

What was the nicest thing a person or people did for you?

I play a lot of soccer.  I'm on teams in outdoor and indoor.  I stayed after a game to play for another team who was a person short.  I ended up scored a game-tying goal with little time left.  They asked if I wanted to join their roster.  I did.  Two weeks later and two games later, I played on my birthday.  I mentioned it in passing to one guy, saying I hoped to score on my birthday, winkwink, nudgenudge.  He laughed and said nothing else.

I didn't own a car at that time and after the game my ride turned left instead of right, and headed away from the freeway.  We went to a Mexican dinner to hang out and get beers.  10 people, including me, got dinner, beer, and when the check came, it came with a cake with candles.  Everyone sang happy birthday for me and they knew me for three total soccer games.  They bought my dinner and beers and refused to let me pay.

I stayed with that team for two years until I moved away.

I wouldn't really say I have done one huge thing overall for someone because I like to do small nice things a lot but I'd say that the nicest thing I have done for someone is cover for them in something I shall not mention or lending him some food because he didn't have much.

the nicest thing anyone has done for me is to save my life, when I was on a school trip a while back in Spain my horse went mental on a mountain, the horse was suprisingly close to the edge and I was suprised that a school trip could turn out to be so dangerous, I thank the person that calmed my horse down and got me off it

When I graduated high school, we had a graduation party and by best guy friend got me a jar full of hand picked red gummy bears because they're my favorite. I was so happy he did that, and it was really nice of him to do that for me. I never forgot that.

I'd have to say...

It'd have to be this one guy who I was running against, helping me after a race.

It was that bad race that almost killed me, I collapsed after I crossed the finish line, and the guy who came in a little ahead of me helped me up, and helped me walk over to a bench where I waited for my coach, he got me a water, and helped me calm down from the shock.

The nicest thing someone ever done for me was when I was at a local gas station, I had $5.00 so I bought takiis which was $3.29 I think that's how you spell it well these Mexican spicy chips. And some Arizona drink which was only a doller. The total came up to $6.00 it turns out the Arizona drink was more than a dollar I was embarrassed. I was going to put the Arizona back until a little girl who was like 8-9 just gave me a dollar that was an embarrassing day, but I'm grateful for that little girl who gave e a dollar out of kindness.

When I was recovering from my surgery I had to go out one day to get some food for me. This one lady from church saw me struggling and he helped me get my groceries. I was so happy! So nice that people will help one that is in actual need~

I have at least two friends I can call - day or night - whenever I'm really upset. They will stay on the phone with me until I calm down. Once, one of them stayed on for about three hours and spent all her phone's minutes on me. =| I felt bad that I took all her minutes, but it really did help me a lot.

When I got that phone call from that girl, I at my last high school forensics tournament of my senior year. Everyone had gotten on the bus afterward when I got that call, and I was screaming on that phone while everyone was starting through the bus windows. When I got on the bus, I was seething with anger, and everyone saw it. Even the coaches were looking at me with wide eyes and everyone seemed scared to even ask me what happened. But one girl that had been a friend of mine for only a few months (she told me a long time later that she had a huge crush on me) walked over and sat by me on the bus. She asked what had happened. Halfway through the trip home, she just tried to make me feel better by talking to me, having me listen to her iPod with her, and that kind of stuff. She decided to be a friend when everyone on the bus was to scared to talk to me at that moment. This is the same girl that I have been with for over 5 years and am now engaged to. I'm always thankful to her for being there for me.
