The stars will be revealed by over coming a challenge described by the star, Bowser hides in 3 Different worlds, where you fight him, he is behind special doors, which are marked by a big star, and you must get the amount of stars declared by the door. But once you defeat Bowser, the fun is not over yet! All together the castle has 120 power stars, and twelve are hidden inside the castle. While the tricky worlds and the amazing creativity and secrets of the game will keep you on the edge of your seat, the new addition to the Mario series is his new caps. The caps can be activated by finding the cap switches throughout the castle and worlds. These caps give Mario three powers that he needs to obtain Power Stars, First is the red cap, which grants the power of flight. Second, is the blue cap, which grants the power of invisibility, and Mario will be able to walk through certain walls and floors. And finally, is the green cap, which coats Mario in a suit of metal. This lets Mario sink easily in water,resist fire, and take less damage. Once the game is complete, and Mario has saved the Princess, and gotten all 120 Power Stars, Mario can shoot onto the castle and see Yoshi, Who has been in earlier games, Yoshi is a friend of Mario and gives Mario 100 "One Ups" (Extra Lives) and grants him the power to triple jump, with sparkles! With all of Mario's adventures, and all of the things he's gone through to stop Bowser, this game was probably the most amazing and classic of all of Mario's adventures. It is one of the few games where Mario can loose his Cap to certain enemies, and he has to return to the enemy that stole it to get it back. The game is full of hidden secrets and tricky puzzles that will keep you playing for hours, and for the kids, there is a section in the beginning of the game where you can pull Mario's face all around and even hold it in place. He can make silly faces and save Princesses all in one day! But actually there are no Mushrooms like in all the other Mario games, only a power gauge, that is restored upon getting coins which are scattered throughout the worlds and castle which can be relatively easy to find, or terribly hard depending on how many have been taken from the level.
