We recently rented Cinderella (the 2015 version). It was an honest movie, however there were many long moments. Ella's childhood was too long for my taste. Also, however good an actress Cate Blanchett is, she did not have Eleanor Audley's evil persona. And the stepsisters just act like spoiled brats rather than torment Cinderella.

The last few movies I have seen.....Fido (2007) about a boy who has a zombie for a pet after the end of the world.  The world is reborn into a pleasantville type scenario but later timewise.  The zombie pet starts eating the neighbors and chaos ensues...definitely worth a watch.  Child 44 (2015)....about a disgraced soviet officer who searches for the murderers of random child on the streets of moscow and finds that the upper brass of the government is involved.  Pretty decent movie....has tom hardy and roomi rapace in it.  Lastly.....The Seven Five (2014) true story about a NYPD cop and his partner who team up with dominican gangsters in 80's 90's NY......started a huge cocaine ring.   Really good movie...kept my attention...more of a documentary though.  All 3 were worth a watch...enjoy all.

The last movie that I saw was The Hateful 8 over the weekend. It took a long time for me to get to want to see it and I only decided that I wanted to see it a few weeks before it came out but I'm glad that I went to see it. It's not really my kind of movie, I'm just not a huge fan of the genre, but it looked intense and there were a ton of hilarious movies. It's not the kind of movie that I would get the DVD for or watch on TV, but its one heck of a movie if you get a chance to see it in theaters.

Watched Mad Max: Fury Road last night. It was much better than I expected. I read in some places that it had tons of feminist undertones but I didn't really get that. Sure there were plenty of strong women and women doing things but I didn't feel like it was some feminist thing that was being pushed. Not trying to make this about feminism but I just remember reading that and it made me hesitant to watch the movie.


As an action flick it was good. The action was over the top but I still felt like there were very few people off limits that could die. Totally worth watching if you get a chance.

I watched Point Break yesterday. This is what I call a "heterosexual" (male) movie: lots of action and adrenaline, pretty women, guns and paper-thin scenario that is completely unrealistic. Come one, an extreme sports athlete full of tattoos who becomes an FBI agent? And, by a pure coincidence, some extreme sports athlete are committing high-profile crimes?

The last movie I saw was called the harvest its a horror and thriller film. To be honest when I first watched it during Christmas time. I didn't like the film considering that my mother was the person who chose it in the first place. I actually liked some parts of the film, so at times I would go back and rewatch those parts.
