XxChaosxX : It's funny how everyone has those things that they just can't stand, but for a lot of them, their guilty pleasure is a movie that is just the things they hate taken to the extreme. It is so much something you hate that you like it. It is like love/hate follow a circle, and when you get past the maximum amount of hate, you overlap to liking it I just made myself dizzy trying to make sense of what I just said.

Hmm...I have a few to be honest. "Bride of the Monster" and "Plan 9 From Outer Space" both directed by Edward D Wood Jr. would constitute as guilty movie pleasures. I also like early sound films a lot, but people IRL tend to find it odd that I do...and some movies that just don't seem to be received well I enjoy for pure posterity sake.

I hate admitting this, but I do enjoy the occasional romantic comedy. Most of them I've seen are very predictable and you know who's going to wind up with who at the end, but I like them, haha.

Wow. What I am getting from my own thread that half the things I like are things I should consider guilty. My fiancée loves that I watch romantic comedies because she can go to the movies to watch chick flicks with no complaints from me. I have no shame.  On the other hand, I'm not going to tell my friends that I enjoyed Brokeback Mountain.  It was surprisingly a good movie.  It was really sad.   And I'm a Jake Gyllenhaal fan.

Wow this a a good topic for me.  I've got some from the 80's you younguns should see. 


In no particular order
1. The wizard - Fred Savage at 12 years old and a video game prodigy will show you how to get the first whistle in super mario bros. 3.
2. Solarbabies - Forget the kids name but also in Mars Attacks guilty 80's sci-fi with very little coherent plot.
3. Roadside Prophets - a biker and a slightly crazy kid go on a crazy metaphorical adventure with that Bill (David Carradine?) from kill bill smoking a huka with them.

I'm sure i've got more of em but those are 3 good ones I can think of right now.
