I've made a new control panel for the board and have placed a few of the links that are rarely used into it that would normally be at the top of the page. This free's up a lot of space at the top so there isn't so much clutter with links people don't care about.

Also, the control panel has a download center where I have downloads which requires users to be logged in to download from.

And lastly, I've added a FAQ/Help center to the Control Panel; this will replace the previous FAQ. In here, users can view the FAQ, dos and donts, benefits of registering, general disclaimer, formatting tags and smilies, powerlevels and username colors. Also, I'm making a 'Terminology and Features' page which will have a list, in alphabetical order, of all the commonly used terms that people may not fully understand (such as Trust Points, Viz, New Thread, etc) and provided will be a brief or detailed description for each item in the list. Also added to the list will be a list of all the board's features and how to use them.

Hopefully the FAQ/Help center will be easy for newbies to use, and helpful for anyone who wants to learn more about something or want to know how something works. Any suggestions to it would be great.

Needs to be like, mentioned in the email to new users that control panel is the place to go for all your help.

The one thing I have a gripe about is the gender rule.

Pointless gender changing is fun and can bring about lots of sprees to.

Think outside the box...

Well the Gender changing can cause confusion to not only the members of the board but to the staff. Would you really want someone flirting with you because they thought you were a girl?

Also, I like guys to be classified as guys and girls classified as girls because it's also more convenient when sorting thru the members and filtering them based on gender.

It just makes things more organized and professional.

Flirting? It's the internet. You don't flirt on the internet... Or are we becoming an dating site all of a sudden.

And about the organizing stuff. I believe that there is no need for staff or users to ever have any real need to look at the gender.

Either way, you haven't given me any good reason why people should be able to change their gender.

And like I said, it makes things more organized and professional.

But you haven't given a real reason as to why genders should be truthful and honest.

My reason are quite simply for the fun of it. Changing genders and having name changes added onto that is quite funny when done right. Besides it's the internet anyone can lie about who they really are and get away with it. that's part of what makes the internet so fun.

And on the organized/professional account. An websites organization/professionality should never be based on its userbase. It should be based on features, management and general cleanness. And besides even if someone were to change the gender noone would be able to notice anyway.

Also creating lots of rules especially pointless ones when being in extreme need of activity strikes me as odd.

Actually I dont think we have that many strict rules, compared to a lot of boards, vizzed board is quite layed back.

Either way, when I filter the users from male and female, I like there not to be male users classified with the female users. And when I view board statistics, such as average age of user, male to female ratio, etc...I'd like for it to be accurate.

Maybe there's another way for you to have fun with your username?

Unfortunately the only three fields that users can have fun with are: title, location and gender. Which only leaves us users with two fields left.... ...

One for those without custom title.

Well you're a clever person, come up with an idea for vizzed board that might add a little fun for users.

Or you could have an interesting site. Have more of the gameshows once we get users. And add more crazy and spontaneous stuff. That's some things I like in my forums.

User could pay small amount of Viz to have Thread name color changed
User could pay small amount of Viz to have their username color temporarily changed

Little flash avatar that shows up below names in posts that wears and/or carries items the user owns.

I dont know, just brain storming

The gameshows are great to have though, just a matter of getting enough people to enter.

I could see the thread color thingy working if theres only a set amount of colors usable. As long as it doesn't clash with one of the schemes.

I found the change username color thingy rather stupid as the first thing i do to identify an users status is watch their color.

The flash avatar thingy is good as long as it doesn't take to long time to load and doesn't look atrocious.
