It's been out for 11 years, and it's 2 generations behind now, but they're still making a few games for it. Is it retro now? The GameCube and the DreamCast are considered retro, so is the Xbox, but do you think it's about time it's retro?

The PS2 is probably not retro. For one, it's still being sold. Many retro consoles get new games made for them by people who are part of the fandom of the system. The Dreamcast stills get games made for it by such people, and same goes for the 3DO. There's people that make games for the Vectrex, as well. The NES gets games made for it by the homebrew community, as well.

I doubt homebrew games count into this, though.

You need to stop production and selling of games before it can be retro.

I do not think the PS2 can be classed as retro as a lot of people still use them as there many consoles maybe give it a couple more years when PS3's are more affordable
