Do you think Taekwondo is one of the martial arts where you lose most of your calories?
Do we do hard moves or special moves in it which requires a lot of strength?

I took Sognham Taekwondo for about 2 1/2 years. As to weather you burn a lot of calories depends on your own perspective. I can tell you that it does not involve many special techniques --at least not early. If there are any special techniques, it is when you have reached a high enough rank. It is very well structured to increase in difficulty gradually. Taekwondo does not require strength you do not have when you begin. It focuses more on proper technique than pure muscle, but it helps you build muscle. I enjoyed it and hope to do it again in the future.

Well I have a friend, he used to do this and a lot of energy was expended ....he was in the first level though, but I think maybe there are a lot of variety of this martial arts.  And also it depends on the instructor.. They vary much I think.

Well I've never took Taekwondo before. I've tried it once in gym class but that wasn't even really Taekwando anyways.

I took Taekwondo for about a month, and you really don't do many special or hard moves in that time-frame. Eventually you would start to do more advanced techniques, but early on it's all about practice, self-control, and discipline.

I wouldn't pick Taekwondo as the best. I like MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) better.

I train in wing tsun (kung fu).  The number of calories burned doesn't depend on the activity you pick; it depends on the effort you put in.  If you go play soccer but you walk around, you kinda kick the ball, and you don't work hard, you won't burn as many calories as if you were sweating playing ping-pong.

You can burn calories in taekwando.  If you work harder, you burn more than other martial arts.  If you work slowly, you burn fewer.  It's the activity level, no the activity.

I don't practice much martial arts, but I've seen many styles, and if there was one i would do, it would be MMA.

I would say taekwondo is not the one that burns the most, or uses most energy, I have seen people get much more sweaty and shiny practicing the ones that require more movement, especially the one that is graceful and is stylized like a dance. MMA is good though.
