thing1 : This may be really late but in case you still haven't found the manga I think you may be talking about Negima. I'm not entirely sure because it's been a while since I have read it but the main character in that manga was a magician and he did go to an all girls school as a teacher for his training. He also did in fact kiss a couple of girls which enabled them to transform. If Negima isn't the one though you should give it a try since it sounds a lot like this manga that you are referring to.

Anyways I suggest that for manga other than the Big 3 you should try Negima for one or even Black Butler. Black Butler is definitely a good and interesting read as long as you don't mind some of its quirkiness. I might also suggest the manga version of tengen toppa gurren lagann. That one is definitely a good one. I hope I helped in some way!

Try Mushishi! It's a very nice manga. The reason I like it is because of the whole "new biological creatures concept" and there is always some kind of mental impact to the reader at the end of every resolve. Try mangahere for the manga and animehere for the anime.
