Both of them have their pros and cons. A laptop is good because you can unplug it and carry it around with you anywhere you go. If you anything but a gaming laptop, then chances are, your desktop is more powerful. A desktop can be used to play games that require a lot of power, or enhanced graphics. It also uses a bigger screen and you can hook up two monitors to it with the right connections.

Since I won't be getting a powerful laptop anytime soon, my vote goes to desktop because I have things that take up quite a bit of resources anyways.

I prefer...Both! when at school I use both, when I'm at home I use both! PC is for the things that take up more memory, or RAM like gaming- big reason why people update PC rigs..... laptop convenience and is smaller, use it for taking digital notes in class

Downside for PC's; more noise, no alternative power source (unless you have a UPS), un portable, and also can be more expensive than laptops. Downside for laptops speakers are not as loud as PC speakers, smaller screen, you have to replace the battery eventually, doesn't have a lot of USB ports, and not as durable.

lol our main pc in this household has broke so we just use laptops now soo much better and i can still play my games even better and for cheaper than the pc you just have to look for the best deals ill give you a tip PC WORLD  but yeah laptops all the way

Both are the same if you have the same OS and set-up; but I guess I prefer the laptop because it's portable, not only in travel, but if you want to sit somewhere else at home and get online, then you don't have to sit at the designated spot of your PC.

I would have to say that I do not prefer one over the other. While I have been using a laptop for pretty much everything in the past two years, I would say that I need a PC for at home. It would be easier having one for gaming, I suppose, and the majority of work. That would allow me to simply use a laptop of work on the go, and possible extent the life of it's battery --my current laptop's battery needs to be replaced.

I have a lap top since it provides an easily accessible choice. I don't think I could chose one over the other, though. Both have their vantage points.
