So I am now working at Sam's Club. Its a decent job, but standing on my feet for nine hours hurts. Anyone have any tricks for dealing with foot pain?

Oh congratulations on your new job!!! Is this your first job ever? Also..what is "Sam's Club" .... I've never heard of it.

My advice, find a standing position that you're comfortable in...and stand like that the entire 9 hours. Other than that..take a sitting break for a minute or two.

Anyway, congratulations again and I hope you enjoy your new job.

If it's joints, or muscles, find the time and a place in the back, or room to stretch, or something, roll your ankles, do a quick set of lunges, I'm sure that would help. congratz on the job, I know of that store, though I have never been.

Sam's Club is a retail warehouse chain that is owned and operated by Walmart -and you need a membership.  Sam's Club and Walmart were in fact start by the same person, Samuel Walton.

Namera, the most I can suggest is that you make sure you stand on both feet equally.  Do not lean on one leg.  And I agree with UserMike that you should move around every now and then.

Well..congrats ....for you though a bit late. But I would surely say that work needs a lot of patience...also I used to work standing on my feet for about ten hours...for my initial jobs....but I did try to have some sits you should always try to balance things....Good Luck.
