Sonic 2 Heroes is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis by flamewing that allows the player to play as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles simultaneously, similar to Sonic Heroes.
FEATURES:
The player can rapidly cycle between playing as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles
Powerups are shared between players.
Tails can fly, swim and can carry either Sonic or Knuckles.
Knuckles can glide and climb.
Sonic can use the insta-shield.
Physics imported from Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Graphics imported from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, particularly when they could be used to reduce the VRAM footprint.
Projectiles bounce off of Tails\' tails and from Knuckles when gliding, as well as from shields, like in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
A new HUD frees VRAM for Knuckles.
The drown timer is disabled to keep the characters close together instead of losing them when the timer counts to 0.
Amy Rose makes a cameo appearance flying the Tornado in Sky Chase Zone, Wing Fortress Zone and during the ending sequence.

Sonic 2 Heroes is AWESOME!!! IT's one of the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 hacks! This is definitly one of the best 2D Sonic games of all time! It has a few glitches though, but overall it is awesome! I definitly recommend you to play this game!
Tip: At the end of the second last level, be Sonic, because if you be's Tails or Knuckles at the end of the second last level, there is that glitch that won't get you to the last boss! |

It is like, Sonic heroes but 2D....sounds a bit dumb for various reasons, one being how Sonic heroes was made in such a way that 2D is only fun with one character like smashing enemies or flying (this could work, but not as well).
It still sounds interesting but seems buggy too, no new change in level designs make this a weird, pointless hack. I will still play it and review it, to give a full and less..."looking at the cover" opinion |

This hack of Sonic the hedgehog 2 is like a all-new game! If only the Genesis can support three controllers, so we can play with three players!
 If only the creator of this hack made a cartridge for this game, so the game can be play on a real Genesis!  )
