What have humans invented, created, or controlled that is most impressive to you. Humans have nuclear energy, astronomy, literacy, the number zero, flight, sewage systems, complex governments and global economies, and walking around on the moon.

What's the most impressive thing humans have done in your opinion?

Mine? Money as a placeholder for value. I think the money system is so incredibly simply but insanely impressive.

I dont think the money system is that impressive,its a very simple idea.
I think our ability to change any element into any other element is very impressive.

And for that matter, the gift of Communication is the obvious answer to this question. Language. English, Spanish, German, French, etc etc. With such a simple gift, we can discuss matters as pertinent as this. It's amazing!

Language is man's greatest achievement. Hands down.

Have you never wonered how we get plutonium?its not found naturaly on earth.when we use uranium for nuclear energy we get plutonium.the reason is radiation.alpha and beta waves.alpha adds to the atomic number 2,beta removes 1.thus we can make anyelement,most of the high elemens dont occur naturaly,we convert them from existing ones,for that reason is evidence all elements origintaed from hydrogen,and thats why hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe.
You could make water into gold,the problem is it costs a fortune and takes so much energy,thats why the theory is theyre made in stars,only natural thing that could provide the energy.
Language is natural,all other races will have it.therefore its not a great achievment.

I was also going to say language even before I saw Zeldi's post. I say this should also include reading and writing. Where we differ from other species is our ability to write things down, to communicate through alphabets/glyphs, if you will.

Our language is a means to everything else. If we didn't have the ability to communicate extremely complex ideas to one another, where would we be? I bet you everything else mentioned in this thread besides language would not be possible, including a money system.

We are not alone in the ability to "talk". For example dolphins and whales are also capable of a wide range of sounds and different noises, and thus they also have an extremely complicated mode of speech. It's even speculated that each dolphin has a different song that represents it's name, and that dolphins in different parts of the world have different "dialects" (although this is not definitive). Humans greatest achievement = Brainwashing

No matter how technologically advanced we are or become one thing has always remained the same and that is the ability to control masses. Language can only do so much and can assist in brainwashing but you can do brainwashing without even speaking to begin with so its higher on the list. Ever hear the phrase pictures speak a thousand words? Exactly my point. When you are in power of the masses you own the jungle and its yours for the taking.
