Firstly, I will make a specific point perfectly clear: My sanity is quite debatable. My philosophies are often against what would be considered as the quotidian ideologies. Due to specific patterns of my mind, I will not specify in detail here, I do wonder sometimes. perhaps it is a subconscious fear of insanity that drives me towards such a blanket statement. But hey, I am getting off track here.

What I wish to ask for the populace's unbiased opinion about is something that stands out to me. At the most unusual of times, I see a silver-Gray spirit, an apparition of sorts, but she looks so real. She looks me in the eye for a few seconds, then she is gone again. She is always sitting, legs straight, and is always with the same gaze. After the initial stun as is expected, and after what can be only described as being unnerved, I usually feel something I can not fully explain because even I do not understand this.

One key thing I MUST mention is that she is not a dead relative or friend that I know of. She vaguely resembles someone I know in the world, but I don't think it is her. She is no one that I have ever known, to my knowledge.

So, where does this leave me? What exactly AM I seeing, and why? What does this mean?

I am not on anything. No forms of medication or anything that seriously addles the mind. Except possibly Pink Floyd or epic Blues music.

1. Does she appear in the same place, e.g. only the house, school, parks, church, etc.
2. Is there a smell or aroma that shows up with her?
3. Is she sharply defined on the edges or hazy?
4. Does her gaze meet you or is she looking left/right/away?
5. Does it happen when someone specific is in the room, like your mom, gf or sister?
6. Does it happen at the same general time, like afternoon, or morning?
7. Does she always have the same type of clothes, if any?
8. What are you doing when she shows up?
9. Is there any sound?
10. Do you believe in an afterlife?
11. Does she sit in air or on furniture?
12. What is usually passing through your mind when she shows up?

I think all of our sanity is subject to review. I believe my life is a fleeting daydream of a giant superbeetle in an alternate dimension. I don't judge. Let's explore what you have going on.

Firstly, I appreciate your lack of facetious humour over this, for lack of better term, apparition.

I will try to answer your questions to the best of my ability, but there is no promises over how much detail I can give regarding each, for the moments were fleeting and my mind was perhaps not in the clearest of states at the moments.


1) No, she has appeared in different places. the most recent of which in the living room in the couch across from me.
2) Difficult to say for sure, but if there was one, then the ocean would probably be it.
3) Somewhat sharp, but with a faint hazy element generally, it is difficult for me to picture her exactly now though.
4) She generally meets my gaze, but when she looks away it is that she looks to the right with her head lowered. This is usually just before she vanishes again.
5) Usually I am alone, though the first time I saw her was in a pizza parlour that had other people there. No one else noticed her appear in the seat across from me.
6) No specific time, but she was her clearest and most frequent in the later parts of the evening.
7) She always appears the same, even down to an almost sorrowful expression.
8) Usually just sitting and thinking...once or twice I was playing some blues guitar, and I think twice I was eating.
9) Generally all sound is muted, except for a very faint breeze.
10) To a degree, though my interpretation of the afterlife will probably vary with a lot of people.
11) She is always sitting on some furniture, usually a chair or couch of some sort.
12) I really do not know for sure in all honesty. If I was to take a shot in the dark, I do recal feeling somewhat sorrowful or lonely on most of the occasions. I really can not give an adequate answer for this question.

Hmn, this sounds very intriguing. My first instinct is of course to say ghost or guardian spirit... but I am really not so sure. How long have you been seeing her? Was there any big event before the apparitions began?

The first time I have seen her was mid april of 2010. Her visits are not the most frequent but...when they come it was when I wasn't expecting it.

If my memory recollection is accurate, then there have been no notable events at the time.

My mind playing tricks is not out of the question, but I am pretty certain that she is real. I am certain for several reasons, including she is nothing like other tricks of the mind. As well, I have no preconceptions of her when she comes unexpectedly.

I claim no skill or professionalism dealing with this sort of thing but I'm interested. I don't think you're the classic definition of 'crazy' and I think you really see her.

Perhaps she is a manifestation of you. You see yourself or your life in a certain way and she pops up as a reaction to the world. Imagine it like a waking dream.

I wonder what a psychic or other type of spiritual person would say. What would a priest, a rabbi, and a buddhist say about it? Ask around.


Lastly, have you tried talking or acknowledging her? She's looking at you. Maybe she wants to bring your attention to something.

Firstly, thank you for the reassurances regarding my sanity.

Your theory about her being a manifestation of myself is definitely plausable. I was thinking just last night that she might be a reflection of a certain part of my life.

Truth be told, I haven't. I was usually too surprised to see her and she never sticks around for long. I usually waves faintly, or smiles, and she gives a brittle grin before her customary lowering head and vanishing trick shortly afterwards.

I usually don't have much access for external spiritual or religious sources of information truth be told, so asking around is limited for me as a viable option.

Hm, Pretty Spooky. If She Has Smiled At You Shes Most Probably Real, I Find It Difficult To Make A New Person In My Mind, And To Make It Smile... Anyway Just Post Here Next Time You See Her. By The Way. Your Not Insane.
