Say all the terrorists were captured or killed. Would you be okay flying if there was no TSA and the only thing they had were metal detectors? You could take on any liquids, scissors, box cutters, all the regular normal things we used to be able to take on planes. No more taking of shoes, belts, and all that.

Would you prefer that or the way we fly now?

At the minute i feel safe with the security in place there is always a chance of something happening but they seem to have things under control nowadays but if things got any more lenient i would pass up on flying

You are a fading dream, but one that has been touched by reality. Run, dream. Run on into the daylight. And walk into reality.

I've only been on a plane once and of course we had to take off our shoes, belts, ect. But from what others have been saying. I still would prefer if every passenger to be check, because if it was relaxed. There's no telling if a hidden terrorist could be boarding the plane plotting to hijack or worse. My choice if the security continue to be tight like that. Ever since the 9/11 attack got everyone paranoid, but sometimes that's not a big deal. It keeps people safe.

The way I see it, if someone genuinely wanted to accomplish something it would be easy enough for them to do it. For example, have your buddy start working at one of those stores they have after customs. Get him to slip you a gun to bring on the plane. Easy as that. Another thing, if someone is going to hijack the plane, and you're all going to die anyways, why don't you just fight the guy with the gun? There would be enough bodies lined in the isle to make it hard for them to do anything, and they might not have enough bullets for all of you. So what if you get killed by getting shot, at least your death means something more than just another fatality on the list of people killed in the incident, that might have been prevented if everyone just tried fighting back.

Seeing as Bin Laden was just killed and all his Al Qaeda buddies are hating us even more, I'm not sure whether relaxing security is too good a thing Unbiased complete security is what needs to be done. BTowns, I'm sure that the people working in the shops have to go through security as well. The security is needed, it's not too much of a hassle compared to what it is doing for us. Better safe and spending a few extra minutes, than dead because of lax security.

I am a straight guy, not sure where I'm going with this but I don't ind the precautions. The employee personnel should watch where they put there hands, or how / way they do it... I'd say it's necessary and one of the effective ways of checking.

warmaker :

In my opinion, the provision of air security with the "freedom fondles" and stuff shouldn't be done by a government monopoly. Such issues should be left to the private actors involved. If they screw up, they'll suffer for it. But the government would just grow in response.

TheMichaelOnline : I'm with you. Security should be privatized. Companies could compete to get the best and brightest available to run security checkpoints and work harder to maintain their contracts.

The gov't competes against no one, so they can do what they want without repurcussion. We should make this all privately run.

I would prefer that because it sounds very safe. I would want to go on a plane with no problems whatsoever.

I have never been on a Plane before but I am well aware of the securitys and the terriosts and all of that. I think It would be more safer and relaxed if there weren't any terriosts.
