The man responsible for 9/11 has been killed. As the representative of the government, it is almost required for him to go and visit ground zero as part of the closure.

No one that I know has said that he has saved the world from terror, not even Obama himself.

Also, on a side note, to refer to the President of the United States as "Mr." is disrespectful. It does not matter if you like him or not, he is the President and you should respect the office enough to use the title. I may not have liked our last President at all, but I never called him Mr. Bush.

Obama is right to go to Ground Zero to hold a confrence towards the Death of Bin Laden, but I do not think he actually "saved" us from the war on terror, because the war is not over even if the head of the terror is gone, it is still not over.

The execution of OBL is a cultural checkpoint for the United States. This has weighed heavy on our mental conscious for the past ten years and we're embroiled in war for the same reason.

The people of the United States are treating this event in various ways but it is important for our leader, President Obama, to note what happened. I watched him speak on tv to announce this and, while I didn't vote for him and I strongly oppose his economic and foreign policies, it is a huge event in American history. He did well to say this is a chance for Americans to heal. We can start the process with the death of OBL. Obama also said thank you to everyone who fought in the wars.

Was he wrong? No. He should absolutely be there.

Has he truly saved us from terrorism? Not yet. One man cannot defeat an entire ideology. I think he has taken a step but this will never end. Humanity will never see the end of war.

I don't think it was wrong it's more of a nice gesture I mean how would you feel if your house caught on fire from someone setting it on fire and they found him and the leader dude of the police station didn't say anything about it.
