Being used is a terrible feeling. Having working your butt off to help a friend or a person you thought was your friend only to have you do most to all of the work just for them to take the credit for it all. Those kinds of people don't deserve credit in work they haven't done before.

I remember 7 years ago there was a job I could do during the summer to earn a little pocket change. Down the street was a broken down house that was literally falling apart and My cousin and I had to go clean it up for it could be reconstructed to a better house. Well. There was this guy who was offering to pay to help him clean out the house. Well we agreed and started working the next day. It was going smoothly. We was getting out the junk and trash out at a good pace for the next 2 days. My cousin quit, complaining it was too hot. I'm a big man and normally it was me complaining about the heat. So it was me and that man, but I wanted that money to get this game I've been wanting so I was working hard. Well when we finally finished and that man was getting paid tomorrow and he would pay me. Well, that day came alone and he was no wheres to be found and it turns out when I went back down to that house to find the construction workers down there already working on that house. I walked up to the boss and asked for that man and explain the situation. The boss looked at me thinking I was crazy and told me he did that with his son. I couldn't believe it that a grown man would trick 16 year old (Me)and I never got my money.

People like that doesn't deserve credit he shouldn't be working if he's going to trick people like that specially kids. Thats just wrong. Have any of you been used before?

I've been "used" for rides back when I was in high school. I had a car and everyone would want rides, rides around town as if I were some taxi driver. After a week or so that permanently stopped! I started charging gas money. Other than that, I've never been used for anything.

I recently had to deal with someone using me.... i am one person that doesnt make friends easily and i had tried to make friends with this dude that moved in down the street... i would let him come over and play Xbox and use my computer and eat my food and just lounge around. Then i caught him stealing from me and told him not to come back. His father ended contacting me and telling me that he was just using me to play video games and get on the internet.

Margoth : Ugh. I know that feeling. Its people like that, that doesn't deserve good friends. I don't make friends easily myself. Having a true trust worthy friend is hard to come by unless he/she was a childhood friend you grew up with. Being used is a horrible feeling to have. People are just pathetic and do these kinds of acts just to take credit for things they didn't deserve or just to get what they want.

Natas : I truely agree, people these days are utterly pathetic... and your are quite right, it is hard to trust anyone, unless you have known them a long time (childhood friend etc...)

I am used by my aunt and uncle all the time.
During spring break my aunt and uncle asked
me if i would babysit the kids everyday for 15mins
well he toke her to work.Well now it's turned into hours
Befor he finally comes home and i only get 20 bucks
a month.

Unfortunately, yes, I have been used. Mostly when I was in high school though. People would take advantage of my genuine honesty and willingness to help out, and I suppose I was always silly enough to allow them to use me, especially when it would be the same people over and over again.

Unfortunately, yes. =| Back in high school, some people would want me in their groups during certain assignments or presentations just so I could do all the work. They never paid attention and wanted the 'smart kid' to get the grade for them. =| I wasn't an idiot so I KNEW that that was what they were doing, but I just gave in because I didn't want to fail. =/ 

Nowadays, I would just tell them off, but back then, I wasn't very outspoken. =| the teachers weren't much help in these situations, either, unfortunately.

Biggest time was an ex of mine. He had money troubles, so even though he was the one working, I paid for his rent, his gas, etc... over the course of four months I pulled $1500 from my college savings to support him. Then he showed up at my door with new tattoos, paid for with that money, to tell me that he was leaving me for another woman.

He still owes me $1400.

Yes. I was used by my abusive ex-boyfriend for money even though he supposedly worked and I was (and still am) on disability. I was used by someone for a place to stay, then he insulted me in my own place, so I kicked him out. Basically, yes.

By my ex-girlfriend and my cousin. Both always asked for money just for some stupid drugs. It pissed me off that even my own cousin was part of this when she should have been on my side. 1 of the reasons why I'm glad I left that town. My ex was an old friend from Middle School, and saw her falling on hard times so I tried to help her out only to have her treat me more of an ATM. Bought her a cell phone, clothes, I even bought her a house all for her to blow her own money on more drugs. Also played daddy to her 3 kids. I'm cool and nice people, but I got my job, I dumped her because I wasn't gonna have her use my hard earn money for her mindless essentials.

Yes I've been used many times before...by family,friends,enemies. I admit, I have used others from time to time myself.
Everyone gets used some point in their lives...
Its a part of life, BUT when someone constantly uses you for one thing and takes advantage of you, it is wrong and you should start charging fees!

Anyway, being used can be either good or bad.
If your used for good causes, then you can just consider yourself very helpful ^^

Yes. I have been used more than once. I dislike the disrespecting when they don't care of the other person's feelings. Its a terrible experience but we all in one time in our lives get used weather we want to or not, but we also learn from our mistakes.

Being used can be rewarding as long as you see it coming.  Keep your eyes open guys, never be swayed.  Everyone has their own agenda.  It's not always malicious, but if you take the time to consider what someone else is getting out of the endeavour you won't be surprised much.  I remember being used when I was 20 by a  35 year old lonely divorcée that turned out very well...
