Google Chrome is typically the best from what I've been told. The only general problem with N64 is your graphics card. If yours isn't good enough then it might not be able to run certain games. A game might work for some people while it doesn't work for others. If a game cuts off to a black screen after it loads, then you should probably skip over it and try another one.
