I have a HP pavilion slimline its a pretty new computer it had windows 7 installed on it when i got it and everything.Anyways yesterday it automatically installed an update(like it always does)and i had to restart the computer to complete it.Well I did that and ever sense then every time I plug in my internet(I have the T-mobil connect jet thing)It sais "this USB devise can run faster if you connect it to a Hi Speed USB port 2.0"why is it saying this?it never used to say this before what the heck is wrong?

That's rather odd... i think Ive had a system message like that before, i have a desktop that i run with a Wireless Receiver, and i don't think its a problem, just something telling you one of your other USB port is "faster". I'm not much of a computer guy so don't take my work for it.... but i don't think you have any problems

Try your usb internet dongle in each of your usb ports, if your still getting that issue, find out what make and model of USB driver card you have in your computer (should be able to find out online via google if you search using your pc make and model) and downloading the latest USB 2.0 drivers for it. Even if your not confident give it a go because the next step would be taking it into a PC repair shop.... or if you have a PC savy friends then thats even better.

Sounds like it uses an old USB port or driver... I had the same problem when USB 2.0 came out, my desktop( an ancient dell desktop at the time...) kept saying i need 2.0. Got so tired of it, I took it to a friend and it stopped.
