I say that Wobbuffet is the most useless Pokémon.

All it does is stand around waiting to get pummeled by a bunch of random attacks.
I mean, it can't really fight back, because it only really has counter and mirror coat,
and for them to be useful you got to get hit with the right kind of attack and picked
the proper one for the attack you were hit with.

That's useless.

I didn't say Magikarp because of course I won't hate a Pokémon that evolves into a useful Pokémon. Now back then, I would say Rattata or any other Normal Pokémon, but most of the normal Pokémon can learn varieties of types. Actually most of Pokémon that don't evolve and have a horrible move set are useless.

Ditto, and smeargle are EXTREMELY useful for breeding and smeargle can even be a good support pokemon since it can learn EVERY MOVE IN THE GAME.  Metapod is sort of useful so you can cheese the fight with brock but that's about it.  Magicarp evolves into Gyarados which is amazing.  the most useless pokemon is every baby pokemon except Riolu if you count him since he learns nasty plot and Lucario doesn't, yet has a large special move pool.  Pichu is debatable you say?  WRONG!  If you have a light ball your Pikachu should use special attacks which means no volt tackle for you.  (Pikachu is better than Riachu when it has light ball by the way.)

I think the most pointless Pokémon is Smeargle because although you can get a diverse move set with sketch it's stats are dismal and are easily defeated so the diverse moveset doesn't come in handy

Ditto in emerald since you can't breed shinies as easily but everywhere else it's actually useful (shiny egg breeding and some glitches in gen 2 and 4). Smeargle in gen 4 is useful for glitching. I guess Kricketot is useless 4 moves (3 in diamond and pearl) and weaker than magikarp horrible combination.
