it's amazing how much he loves his dog.

That is a very dangerous but brave thing he did... though honestly if he had been walking the dog on a leash then it would not have happened. Still, it is touching to see that bond kicking in from the human side for once.

"...all I was thinking about was saving my dog." Man, that's pretty stupid sounding at first, but at the same time, it's really pretty touching what the guy did. I don't have any pets, but I'm sure that if I did, I'd have to have a pretty strong bond between me and my pet to do something like this. Glad to hear the guy is okay.

Wow, that is truly how close people should be with their pets. I wouldn't know because I don't have a dog, but I think that, with a dog that old, I would treat it like a family member. And if a family member had fallen into frigid waters like that, I would go out and save it or at least do everything I could to do so.

I would do the same for my dogs. I love them to death and I couldn't stand it if they drowned in ice old water. They're my awesome friends. =)

Wow, this guy is really brave! I really do love my dog, but I honestly don't know if I would be able to jump into Ice water. I very much dislike being in cold water, I could not even keep my hand in a bucket of ice water for 1 minute. I know that is terrible.
Although I don't know how I would live with myself knowing that I didn't jump in, and tried to say the dog.

Elara is right, if that guy would have just kept the dog on a leash the whole situation could have been avoided, entirely.
