When I get bored in the kitchen, and usually after frying a load of chips and am left with a load of hot oil and fish batter, I wonder what else I can fry.

To date I have tried fried:

Snickers bars - Amazing

Pineapple - okay, but a bit wet

Banana - nice, but need a good crispy batter

Tinned fish - perfect for an instant fish cake

peas - really nice but fiddly

Henry bar - (see snicker)

Twinky bar - (superb)

Bread - nice if soaked in egg first

popcorn - just weird

mnms - too small to fry and melted too quick

what can you add to the list, thanks..........

I wasn't the one operating the fryer, but I did try Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, and Reese's Pieces. One of the Cups kind of exploded in fryer (so I've heard) and left the batter as an empty shell. I have tried Fried Snickers and they taste great.

I don't have a deep-fryer and I've never used one. But I have pan-fried bananas before, they're excellent. Plantain are good fried too, but that's the regular way to cook them so it doesn't count as "unusual".

I fried up some good KoopaTroopas last night -pats tummy- yum !
No but really, i fried a few oreos a months back just because i was bored and i got a lot of new cooking supplies, they were actually pretty good! Fried Ice Cream is also AMAZING! OOOoo so good! Get a recipe online if you wanna do it right though
