I know this sounds weird (maybe even delusional) but I found that connection with someone online. I can't explain with words how much of a real connection we have. It's not just a fleeting crush or a physical attraction. I think of every aspect of my life, and I want him there with me because he belongs there. We are so deeply intellectually connected. Our very essences, our personalities, ourselves... Down to our intrinsic core, we belong together.

I have felt it a couple of times, but I think that that connection only shows potential. Like it could become an amazing friendship or the love of your life, but it's up to you what happens with it. One person I felt that connected to was amazing and we would have been an amazing couple and really happy together and he admits that, but circumstance separated us physically and emotionally and things ended badly. The current guy I'm with I feel the same connection with; only stronger. I think this is because we were more willing to except and embrace our feelings toward each other. I hope things work out for the best for you though.

Now I don't only mean romantic connections, even non-romantic connections.

I find it far and few in between when I actually connect with someone. I don't know why. Maybe it's because of my trust issues, I don't know. Maybe it's because they just don't have the same interests as me.

i really clicked with my ex but back to what you were saying about the connection fading, i think that happened. It was like feeling at complete and abosolute ease, it was really nice when we friends afterwards too, i also have a nice connection with like her whole family lol im going to her house for completos (south american hot dogs basically) tommorow
