Finally! A thread where people can say Neon Genesis Evangelion is confusing!!! But yes, Neon Genesis Evangelion is the most confusing anime I have ever seen. Episodes 25 and 26 are completely random and are just questions repeating after answers that also repeat and then Shinji screams 0_o. Then, when Hideaki Anno made up for it with 25' and 26' (End of Evangelion) I was soooooo confused. Spoiler alert: Katsuragi gets shot, Rei fuses with Lilin, everyone dies, Rei's head falls off, Shinji screams, everyone is now fused into an orange liquid LCL and Shinj strangles Asuka. Then, rinse and repeat with the movies, except Asuka loses an eye. Now did that make sense? Some say: yes.

Do the Banned episodes of pokemon count? I watched the swimsuit contest episode on youtube, and err let's just say this was not for the young ones. Ash, Misty and Brock need some money for something (can't remember what) so Misty enters a bikini contest, not very confusing but it does get trippy. When team Rocket show up, they enter JAMES!! YES JAMES??? And then he steals the show with these giant inflatable boobs which is so disturbing. I honestly didn't know James wan a transvestite!! Eventually Ash and Pikachu get rid of them then Misty loses the contest. Out of all the odds Ash's MUM wins the contest?? Why Pokemon?? Why?

Motoko may well have left because she knew her presence may would have put Batou in danger. It's called putting your lover's safety over your own ass. Crazy I know.

Perfect Blue was a major head player until the end but that's more good character and plot writing more than anything else.

Serial Experiments Lain was a major "what just happened?" series. Again it's meant to be that way.

I honestly have to say Pokémon is. On the Catch em' all season I pointed out something stupid and weird. When ash evolved his charmeleon into a charizard, a few episodes later he came up with a charmander again when he was in the snow with the jinx. It was a little weird because I didn't know Pokémon devolute, and if they did they didn't show it happening. If you agree tell me, and please tell me if you "HAVE" witnessed this yourself, and it was weird i_i .

The most confusing anime I've ever watched is probably Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, when I watched the first season for the first time, I didn't understand ANYTHING! From me, I have to say that Stein's:Gate was the most confusing. My friends tried to convince me it was amazing, but it required too much focus for me to even process why we were watching an old guy in a run-down apartment turn his bananas green.

I would have to say FLCL (Fooly Cooly) was one of the most confusing animes I ever watched. Funny thing is it never made one bit of sense when I watched through the entire season the first time. But watching it after that I ended up figuring everything out and even the main point of the whole thing. For how crazy and nonsensical  it is, its purely awesome and funny.
