I think Divine Intervention was best described in popular culture by Quentin Tarrentino and as such I am sure that most of you are familiar with the discusion about the subject in the film Fiction when the two gansters do not die when the kid open fires at point blank range and the bullets miss them. One dismisses it as chance the other believes the hand of god moved the bullets out of their path. and their lives then go in two completely separate directions, we know that one dies from continuing to be a gangster (its bullet eventually finding its place) the other becomes a 'bum', what happens to 'the bum' we do not know and as yet there has been no mention of a sequel, but my guess is that he is going to do pretty alright.

What are your theories on this topic, has this ever affected you?

Divine Intervention is just another way of looking at a glass as half empty or half full. The one who believes its an act of god is thinking positive whereas the one who doesn't believe it is an act of god is thinking negative. Both positives and negatives have a reaction or consequence. In time, who cares both parties will end up dead anyway

Totts : I do believe in divine intervention… It is something that I have hoped for as life has thrown challenges at my family and I in recent years… Sometimes the stress and worry is more then one can bare frankly and, asking for help from god isn’t a bad thing… I love Pulp Fiction and I think that what the end of the movie that you speak of was about was one man realizing that he may be destined for something else in life with more purpose and, another man’s skeptical viewpoint.

It doesn’t paint a clear picture of right or wrong but, it is an interesting dialogue that the viewer has to observe. As for me, I don’t go to church but I am god fearing and I am a believer. A few years ago I went through a period of time where I was sick and really thought that I was done for. I believe god saved me and although things may not be perfect, I always remember what god did for me and even as trying as times have been for me in recent times I rely on my faith to get me through it.

There is no divine intervention. There is only me. I am responsible for things that happen to me and around me. If I barely dodge an incoming car or I happen to survive something, it's just random odds, nothing divine.

I believe in God. I believe someone made us and sits back and enjoys the scenery unfold. I do not believe they meddle.

I create my own luck. I forge my life in the furnace of my own will and everything that happens to me, good or bad, simply happened. I don't worry about whether a benevolent being (or a malevolent one) wants to let me live or die. If they do, then I'll live.

... but I still don't buy they would make things change.

For those of you who believe in divine intervention and have had it happen to the betterment of your life, make it worth your God's time. Go out and do something wonderful. Make a splash in the world and community and return the favor of your life by helping someone else's.

Yeah, there have been about at least 4 times that I'm recalling...I should have died, however I didn't realize it was God's intervention till recently, God is good, He loves us when we don't even realize it, then when we do, it's awesome .

Totts : First , for people to view the film the title is Pulp Fiction. A seriously awesome flick. I do believe in the so called divine intervention but most of all I believe God speaks to us in private conversations. I think all people hear that voice in there head , right? Well at least I do and my voice talks a lot of trash.
