Well I thought I would say a few things about what we are looking at with the forthcoming generation. Maybe say a few things other people hadn't noticed.
First I'll say a bit about each system...
360: The 360 has been dubbed by some as the Xbox 1.5. And from what I've seen it really does look that way. I haven't seen anything yet that blows me away and that was in HD. Granted the graphics will improve, not disputing that, but Microsoft ended up putting themselves in a very percarious position by releasing a year before the other systems and having the major "shortage" in the US. This is a positive because they did get out before the other two but as I've stated it is also a negative and I'll explain more as I go along. To me the 360 just looks like a desktop computer that you hook to your TV.

PS3: The PS3 is going to be a graphical powerhouse and most likely cost a small fortune. It will sell in Japan, but in the US I'm not entirely sure if it will or not. It will most likely depend on the price as to whether it does as good as it can or not over here. Sony went overkill with it's specs though driving up the cost. It has been revealed it will have to have a hard drive which again raises the price. Blu-Ray raises the price for making games, buying games, and the system itself. It will have an advantage over the 360 because I'm thinking it's graphics will be better. But it's overall cost may drive some consumers away. But if they can release it for a price that is within say 100-200 dollars of the 360 people that were thinking of a picking up a 360 may decide to pick up a PS3 instead. The PS3 to me (and a few other people) looks either like a fax machine or a printer.

Rev: The Nintendo Revolution is going to be released sometime before Thanksgiving in the US. Rumorrs are going around that it will launch in June, but that's kinda doubtful at the moment. The Rev.'s controller is totally unique from any other controller I've seen. It's graphics won't quite be on par with PS3 or 360, but the system is suppossed to be two or three times more powerful than the Gamecube, so the games will look good. It's not supporting HD, but as for me that doesn't matter since I don't have an HD TV. I know there aren't a high percent of homes with HD TV's in the US yet. Nintendo is having an online service with the Rev. via wi-fi. It's going to be free for ALL FIRST PARTY games. The price will be less than $300 most likely $199. It being so cheap people may pick it up as a second system. The system also looks very sleek and stylish.

The Rev. doesn't really directly compete against the PS3 and 360 because it's cheaper and it's just totally different from the other two. That being the case the Rev. could slide in and do very well. The Rev. is actually kind of in the position of the PS1 was. Nintendo went all out with what they had been doing and Sony brought out something a bit different in the PS1. This time Sony and Microsoft are pretty much giving us the same thing as they did this past gen and Nintendo is going a different route.

You see.. The thing about nintendo is, that it doesn't need the sweet graphics or the killer features... It has better games that have more feeling.. and that always wins, hands down.. I sold my Xbox to buy a Gamecube...

It always seems that Nintendo does something completely crazy, like when PS1 was out.. Nintendo still had cartrages with the N64 (which in my opinion had WAAAY killer games for multi-player action...)
