Actually, Shy Guy is known to many by another name. I spoke to him to confirm that he truly was Shy Guy before taking up his new identity. A lot of people know him as Meta Knight. Embarrassed by his Kirbylike cuteness, he put on the Shy Guy mask and went to find refuge in another world. Only, that was short lived when Mario and his friends kept throwing him at other enemies. So he became a master swordsman, turned the Shy Guy mask into the metal mask we associate him with now, and returned to his home world of Dream Land to wreak havoc due to his anger.
