So at the moment, on Pokemon Yellow my team is:
-Pikachu
-Blastoise
-Charizard
-Graveller
-Hypo
-?

Can you guys tell me another good pokemon for my team,
I was thinking: Dragonite, Haunter, or Venasaur (but I think venasaur can easily be substituted with other pokemon already in my team)

Please help, and I will keep the pokemon in my team
Thanks!

I think venasaur shouldn't be added, but Haunter vs Dragonite is a tough choice.
It depends on what level they would be. If it's 61 or lower, Haunter would be better, because you would have all of its moves, and if it was 62 or higher, Dragonite would, because its stats grow more and it can learn moves like outrage and hyper beam when it is higher level.

I would definitely go with Dragonite or an Ice type (maybe Dewgong). You'll need a Pokémon that's strong enough to beat Lance's Dragonite. It's easier if you have a Pokémon that is strong against his. An Ice type would be 4x effective against Dragonite.

I can't remember if there's TM's in Yellow, but if there are, you could teach Dragonite Ice Beam with TM13. If not, an Ice type is probably better.

BNuge : Thanks BNuge, I think I'll go for Dragonite then, but do you think with Blastoise and Dragonite, that's too much Ice?
I'll probably need it though, right?
Thank you again

Dragonite is also one of the strongest non-legendary Pokémon in the game. That's why it takes forever to train. It can beat pretty much anything. Just save the Dragon and Ice attacks for Lance.

Don't put any Grass or Ice Pokes on your team. They're both weak against common attack types (like Fire). If you want ice attacks, just give it to your Water Pokemon and/or Dragonite. You really can't go wrong with Dragonite.

If you want a formidable force in attack strength then I suggest you catch yourself a Snorlax since it has high HP, high attack, high defense, resistance to ghost techniques, and able to heal itself with rest. Plus getting a hold of a Dragonite is a difficult task since it's an ultra rare pokemon and difficult to catch as a Dratini.
