It was a hard temple, but it's not the hardest. I've seen harder dungeons. The hardest dungeon is Juba-Juba's Belly in Oracle of Ages. This thing would eat OoT's Water Dungeon for a light snack!

I hate, hate, hate, hate, hated the water temple.

If there's anything like 10 or 11 year old me hated more than anything, it was getting lost in the water temple.

Now that I'm older it's not as big a problem, but it's still very confusing. When a game makes a child stumped for complexity over difficulty, it should go as a note, do not do this again.

I really liked how challenging it was . I always like a 
good challenge for temples in zelda games in general so
I was loving this one a lot when I first played it. I did get stuck
for like 2 hours the first time but I didn't give up . I eventually found 
an way . After playing the game over an over I don't really get
stuck at that Temple any more .

lol. This is really OLD.

Anywho, I found out why people hate it. There's a point in the Temple where you have one key and two possible doors to open. If you pick the wrong door, you have to restart the game because there's no possible way to complete the dungeon.

BNuge : I don't think that you can get stuck in the water temple like that.

There are some frustrating sections (the hookshot platforms on the waterfalls comes to mind), and the layout probably confuses some people. Plus, you really have to look hard to find all the keys. there is one for every door, but they are spread throughout the temple in tricky places. I never really had a problem with the Water Temple, though. It was always quite easy to me.

To be honest, I didn't find the Water Temple to be difficult at all. In fact, the only dungeon in a Zelda game that puzzled me was the first palace in Zelda 2.

The biggest flaw in most games is the water level. This game is NO exception. 'Nuff said.
