it would have been too cruel to keep it going yet he wanted to even though it ws a flawed relationship, what a sad sad state of affairs, I think he was just a very lonely boy who wasost and did not know who to turn to, I wish it could have ben easier for him. We tried staying friends but every time we met up he just cried and cried.

What happened to you?

Sometimes it hurt having to break up with people, and other times it felt great. Sure it never feels good to make someone feel bad, but sometimes you just need to realize that a relationship isn't working and move on.

It feels really bad to break someones heart in a relationship I had to do that about 3 weeks ago again

I don't think that I have ever broken someone's heart. If anyone's heart was going to be broken, there was a good chance that it would be mine. However, since I've already been through that and I feel much better now, I feel like I know a little more about love and the chances are much slimmer that I will succumb to the same result with my next love interest 8). Sometimes you just gotta get a grounding in something like this before you can move on. Besides, there literally is a billion fish in the sea. No one believes that when they're heartbroken, but it's the truth.

I felt like i didn't deserve to be alive anymore.

Totts : I never would do that to anybody though I do know all too well what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a break up. It was painful and even many years later it still has it’s effects in that I haven’t really had a solid relationship since my last break up.

If there is anything that I guess I could say that I learned from all of the stuff I went through it may be simply to be careful A who you get involved with and B once you’re involved be leery of getting attached too quickly before the relationship really settles in because you may find in the end that the person you thought was good for you can be in reality anything but good.

I have said periodically on here that there are regrets that I have from some of my past relationships and frankly some relationships that I wish I could have another chance at if the circumstances would allow it. I have had some miss-steps in relationships and that is bound to happen when as a teenager things often tend to get out of order both in your relationships and more importantly one’s priorities.

In my case, I do not look back fondly in regard to my teen years. Excluding what I was able to do in regard to my writing, I had to deal with some family problems which affected how I handled some things in regard to my relationships. In the end I was engaged twice before I was twenty and neither relationship really panned out. I also eventually ended up leaving school and that is my biggest regret though I did eventually get back on track, I wished that I were able to finish school which is a goal of mine at some point.

Although I may not look back at that period of my life fondly I am still in a way grateful that I went through what I have because it served not only as motivation for me to go on and do good things in my life but also helped me become the person that I am today.

In regard to breakups though I think that in general a lot less damage would be done to a person’s feelings if the person that wanted out of the relationship would be honest about it with the other half. It seems like the most damage and heartache that a person suffers when they go through a rough break up can be traced to a lack of honesty.

It is a generalization of course but it seems that most relationships always have problems when one side is not honest with the other. Just a thought…

I have never really broken anybodys heart, at least i don't think i have, but i can only imagine how it feels and how bad it can truly hurt someone

I may have seriously upset a girl once, but I'm not sure. Some people told me that a particular girl really liked me, but I didn't like her very much. I ended up doing nothing about it. That was when I was around 13 years old, so I don't think heartbreak really applied to anyone at that age.

I did that once to a girl and how I felt was that I could not care less because that's what she gets for using me and putting me down.
