I don't wear a scarf or anything on my face unless I am going to be outside for a long period of time. I usually just wear a stocking cap and just duck my face into my coat if it's really windy out.

I actually was wearing one that I got this year. However, it never really seemed to help. In fact, it felt like it gave me a draft so I stopped wearing it (same with gloves and knit cap). I actually felt warmer without all of that stuff on (either that or hypothermia).
