Thread title sums it up, do you thinks it alright for local authorities to have a 'shoot to kill' right, in the name of terrorisim anyway.
They cant just go kill anyone.
I agree with this law, this does make us a safer country, and if some dumb arse gets killed for pretending to be a terrorst than its there own stupid fault. Thats what i think anyway, what do you think? (You dont have to be Australian to take part in this)

I reckon its stupid.... what if the person didnt do it n the "authorities" suspisions arent right? should they be able to get away with killing someone wrongfully accussed, or someone who looks a certain way (eg looks iraqi) n r in the wrongplace at the wrong time.... Theres enuff corupt cops as it is, y give em the right to kill someone coz they think their up 2 sumthing!!!
Now if they have evidence to prove em guilty, y not use the old fashion way... raid em n arrest em, use pepper spray, tranqs if ya really have to...
Why give terrorists the satisfaction of death?

It gives them the right to shoot and kill. This doesn't mean they are going to shoot and kill everytime. They may or may not need to excersise this right. I suppose its a judgement issue.

I think this is a good rule. There not going to bust into someones house, n start shooting everyone cos they think there a terrorist... Thats how some 3rd world contries do it, they just rock up in a tank, and level the house.

But look at that guy in the UK, he was gunned down on suspicion of terrorism, so it does have its bad points.

If they wana do something to Australians, give us back our gun rights.

But say the terrorist has heaps of explosives on him, and in his bag. Police say STOP!, and he dosnt, so they chase him, and then they shoot him. Or this could happen, Police say STOP!, and he dosnt, so they chase him, abit down the path the terrorist thinks he cant getaway, so he detonates there, instantly killing 20 civilians, and wounding heaps. What scenario would be better...?
