I love the show Dexter, but I don't have Showtime so I have to watch it online.  I'll watch TV shows online if I've missed an episode of something for one or reason or other that I wanted to see.  I watch most of the movies I see online.  I rarely go the theater, unless it's a film with an excessive amount of CGI, because animation looks bad bootlegged.

Occasionally I will. Not very often though. If I miss an episode of one of my favorite shows, I'll see if it's online and check it out.

Why would I watch TV episodes on the computer when I have a nice new TV in my living room?

Well, I tried it once, and it ended up just being not cool when listening to it through the sound speakers and I ended up just stopping it after a few minutes. I like to attach my computer to the television if I am trying to make up on a missed episode, so that works fine for me. Regularly I don't. I really dislike waiting for buffering on the computer.

Really, I am not too picky. I will watched prerecorded online TV shows on my computer(or someone else's) if it is during a long road trip. If it plays a factor at all, I don't intentionally watch any animated cartoons/series. At least not since 2010 onwards.

If i miss something id watch it on bbc iplayer etc.otherwise,no.

I suppose I do, if you count watching anime online as television online. I use whatever site I can find that works, like watchanimeon.com and hulu.com.

Madeline : I don’t really like to sit behind my computer either to watch stuff the only exception would be when I am covering stuff internationally via webcast and I’m doing round by round updates on my social networks. If I could do it all on my PS3 assuming it had a reliable browser I would definitely go that route because like you I have a nice flat screen and it’s much easier doing things that way especially given that I have a bad back and sitting in front of my computer for six hours isn’t the easiest thing to do for me.
In regard to Netflix I have really become a fan of their service as well as VuDu. I have a five disc DVD changer that doesn’t really work right now so I have been spending a lot of time during my down days browsing both services and enjoying the content. It is also a good thing when you’re recording stuff off of your DVR on to DVD so you have something to watch while recording. Right now the lone drawback is that I don’t have a streaming player like Roku or Boxee that I can use to hook my recorder up and record off of those services. When I can afford to do so that is something I intend on doing. It’s kind of hard when you spend on average $200 a month in fees just to cover the stuff you cover which adds up to over $2,000 a year if not more so it’s something I find myself pushing off more than I’d like.


Klown : I saw Dexter on Netflix last night while browsing on my PS3. I assume Showtime has a deal with Netflix which allows them to stream their content as long as the shows are not in a current season. Netflix also has content from Starz but that deal is expiring from what I’ve read so I assume changes are coming after the new year.


JaysonStull : Netflix has a good anime section but I don’t really see anything that I would recognize. Unless it is a show from Fox IE The Simpsons, Family Guy etc I don’t really watch that much anime. I did see a few cartoons from the 80’s on there a while back so it was good for the nostalgia alone.


thenumberone : I cover a lot of fight cards that take place in the UK. One thing that I have been praying for, for years is that Sky Sports and or the BBC work out some sort of an agreement with the powers that be in the US to have a US version of both respected networks. If nothing else for the Boxing coverage alone. It would surely make my job a little bit easier in regard to those UK cards I cover that I otherwise would not have access to without the Internet.


DarthRambo : The good thing that I like about the streaming services that I use is that in regard to TV shows they tend to have the complete series or at the minimum the series of a show up to a point of where it’s is currently. I myself am a big Law and Order fan and I spend most of my time on off days going through each of the Law and Order series. It’s been raining where I live locally for much of the last several days, assuming it’s not a severe thunderstorm and it’s just a solid soaking rain the streaming services are great for rainy days.

I do. I watch a lot of shows on instant Netflix via Wii. I like to check out shows that a lot of people liked, but I never watched. If I like it, I watch all the seasons Netflix has, and watch any other episodes Netflix doesn't have elsewhere so I can catch up to the new episodes (or just watch the whole series if it is over already)

rcarter2 : Like I said I am a fan of Netflix and use it pretty much daily via my PS3. I don’t know how it is on the Wii but the one thing that I kind of hope I can do once I get a streaming player is look up stuff by actor and or director which is something I cannot do on my PS3.
They just added the original Law and order to their streaming last week so it’s looking good. I don’t really understand why there was all this hoopla over Netflix and their DVD end of their service over the last couple of months. To me $8 for unlimited access is a steal. If VuDu switches to a subscription service though they will have some competition.


I love DVDS but this is good incase you don’t have access to a DVD player like I really don’t right now other than the PS3’s player which isn’t really the greatest.

I Only watch a few shows so sometimes I do Since I don't like going upstairs to watch T.v.
The only shows I really watch are Pokémon and glee tho.

Well I tried it ..but I don't really liked it.....I prefer it not really...except under some circumstances....maybe.

I watch the majority of my TV on Hulu or Netflix. I don't really keep track of too many shows when they are actually on each week, I find them by surfing around and watching an episode or two to tell if I can like it or not. Plus I can watch it at my convenience.

I know that Netflix has Pokemon on their service now. I am using four different streaming services now Netflix, VuDu, Hulu and, Amazon. It’s really a great variety especially since I don’t have to pay anything for Amazon’s streaming service as I am an Amazon prime member. I also now have a media player but still use my PS3 as my media player currently doesn’t have an Amazon app. It’s really been good for saving DVR space as I can watch most current shows on Hulu the next day. When the majority of your DVR space goes to Boxing recorded in HD and Baseball games it’s not a bad deal.

You and I are very alike in that I spend a lot of time on Netflix and Hulu as well. It’s been quite beneficial for me in that as I said to Sam I don’t have to set my DVR for every show now and I can watch when I have down time. I just wish that A my media player had an Amazon app and B that the Netflix app that it does have would get updated when my player does a software update. It tends to lag a little during playback and currently doesn’t use Netflix’ smooth interface or auto play feature. Sometimes I just like to pick a show and kick back so it’s a little annoying if I fall asleep and wake up and I’m starring at a screen saying play next episode etc. That’s one reason why I am a big fan of Hulu.

bvd1022 : yeah I started watching Pokémon online at http://pokemonepisode.org/ it is pretty good on most days but I also watch shows on Amazon as well since I am a Prime member.. I tried Hulu once, but I didn't like it so I manly stick to Netflix and Amazon. 

I honestly watch TV more ONLINE with Hulu and other websites more than I watch TV show on TV. I watch mostly sports on live TV and watch shows at a later time from my computer. I also torrent a lot of TV shows if I'm trying to catch up on several seasons.
