For me, it's without a doubt Dragonball. As a young kid, I liked Dragonball Z more, I guess because it had more explosions and such, but as I grew older and wiser, I saw how good the original Dragonball was and still is. It, to me, is a way better anime. Better fights, better comedy, and better story. What's your opinion?

I loved both, but DBZ was better. Goku stated to get on my nerves as Dragon Ball went on because of his annoying ability to completely overshadow every other character in the series. Likewise, the reason I prefer DBZ is because of the characters and the proper appreciation they are given, despite the presence of Goku.
That and the fact that DBZ was more focused on fast-paced action is mostly what made DBZ more appealing.

I disagree with the above, I believe tehy were way overshadowed in dbz towards the end of z. He was lightyears above everyone, while in Dragonball, at least they were kinda close in terms of powerlevel

I've been reading the manga for DB and it's pretty good, but I still have to say I, personally, like DBZ better. DB is cute and tells a great story. All of the characters are likeable, even the villains, but DBZ just appeals to me more I guess. I honestly don't know why I like DBZ better, I just do.
