Personally, I love Full Metal Panic! -- the characters were surprisingly deep, the action was compelling, the storyline was interesting enough to keep you watching, and the show just had the perfect mix of romantic comedy and giant fighting robots. Plus, its art style was rather impressive, although I suspect they used less hand-drawing than computer-drawing for it.

I've watched fansubs of its sequel series, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu!, and just about died laughing -- it puts far less emphasis on the giant robots aspect and much more emphasis on the comedy, with the end result turning out better than you'd think. All hail Bonta-kun!

Will anyone else be getting Fumoffu! when the whole series comes out in an English-dubbed version? I think I'll wait for the boxed set, myself...
