During the N64 Game and open menu, my controller doesn't show as being attached only the keyboard. It works with the other emulators but not N64. I have a MS Sidewinder, not the best but that's all I got.

That's weird, N64 is the one that works better for me. So you double-clicked the game screen and the pop up didn't show you your controller? Was it plugged in before you load the game? If not, try to plug the controller first, then load the game

Tried all sorts but all I get is keyboard configuration, my controller only has the same buttons as a SNES controller and works for other formats like SNES and NES games but not N64. I can use it for PC games and have both keyboard and controller configured.

Which N64 games have you tried to play? I want to check them to see if I get any ideas. I don't know if the problem is your controller, I think snes controller has enough buttons for N64.

I tried quite a few games, when I open the menu, in devices it has only keyboard or not plugged in, if I try to change the configuration with the game controller nothing happens, only changes with keys can be made.

At the moment I'm playing Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness, one thing I had to do was switch the default C buttons from the number pad to the top row numbers 1,2,3 and 4, C buttons didn't work with numberpad, I just got another direction control.

Castlevania worked for me, so I guess it may be your controller. I'm using a adapted PS2 controller, maybe N64 games need controllers that have directional like the originals N64 controllers
