is there religion in video games?.
I mean certain series like the Shin Megami Tensei series they barely hide any mythological meanings and references also in God of War, but games like Final Fantasy tend to have hidden religious meanings. Such titles such as FF6, FF7 or even FF10 have religious meanings. For example Sephiroth is the Hebrew name for Counting or Enumeration which is also a reference to the Sephiroth clones. Sephiroth is also a factor in Kabalism which means the ten aspects of God. FF6 I think also has some religious meanings mostly towards Apocalypse and even the Book of Revelation.

I ask this question: Do u think there are religious references in Video Games?

Not all the time, but yeah, there is. There most noteworthy in RPGs though, if you ask me.

Well if you play Dragon Quest 9 that game is chock full of Religous stuff. The whole entire game is about (SPOILERS!) How this lady that is the main god's daughter is turned into a tree after the god tries to destroy the land. This is really a lot like old myths. I have played the other ones and they often times refer to gods. The game is also saved in a church and the person who saves the game looks a lot like the pope of the Catholic Faith. That is not the only game either there are many games (usually RPG's) that have talk of God or of gods. I never think it is a bad thing because usually they are made up with the game creators which is fine.

Lol yep, and for another example, the Soul Blazer series is practically all that is about as well. The entire game is about(spoilers) helping God protect the land from Satan. The game won't come out and directly say it due to censorship, but that's what it's about, when you put it all together.

Yes and it's really annoying when they try to censor the religious stuff out of the game and it kinda ruins it cause religious stuff is interesting.

For sure. Although, you you don't see much of it in the US video games. Which is disappointing to me after having played several of the PAL and Japan RPG roms to know that the references were even there in video games.

I have to say though, I think that although the references have merit, I find the majority of them funny. Reason being is that they sound so impractical compared to what I know. But still, there are a few of the references that I relate to, so the references keep me interested as a bonus to the game if it's worth playing.
