What if there was a machine built that in essence transferred you conscious into a game. Like there wasn't anymore games on the GBA or N64 or DS. Instead YOU were in the game. You could go on your own Pokemon journey. You could become a Black Mage in Final Fantasy. You could experience time travel in Chrono Trigger. You could become the third Mario Brother in the Mario Series. You could take Samus' place in her suit. If this was possible, and you couldnt bodily harm yourself, like youd feel the damage in the game but at a point where you die it ejects you so your consciousness doesnt die.

For me, i'd have to choose both Pokemon and FF. The thought of choosing my own team and having an adventure really appeals to me. Of course, channeling arcane magicks through my palms only to turn around and Hadouken the annoying Fighter in the face as a Black Mage also intrigues me.

I would definitely go into the Mario universe just to stomp on some Goombas and Koopa Troopas

Also, probably the Vectorman or Contra universe, blasting the crap out of stuff with awesome power-ups would be fun

Oh yea Mario universe would be fun. And yes SSB is totally acceptable since it is a video game. Any video game that has actual characters can work. Things like Pong wont since its just 2 blocks and a ball. It needs some form of people like Mario or Contra or SSB.
