Sometimes it hurts because if you are doing a good deed for the heck of it and someone offers you money for your deed then it hurts to say no for me it does.

Sometimes it hurts to say no because you really wanna answer yes but you have to say no.
And sometimes because someone's asking you a favor nicely and it hurts to turn it down just because you're not in the mood to do anything tiring today.

corotri1 : I’m not sure if you mean it’s hard to say no in certain situations or if it’s hard to say no in general. If you meant in certain circumstances I can understand. Whether you are just a good natured person that wants to help people at the drop of a hat or if you have a relationship with someone and for whatever the reason you can’t help them when they ask for it or they expect you to jump in and help instead of appreciating it, it can hurt.
It hurts when you really sincerely care for someone and for one reason or another you can’t be there for them when needed like you’d want to be. I think we’ve all been there at one time or another with someone.

What hurts more than being unable to help someone is when that person either doesn’t understand why you can’t help and or, takes it as you don’t care for them and they end up distancing themselves from you.


As I said I think it is something that we all can relate to in one way or another but the pain of not being able to help someone you care for even when you want to is often the worst pain one can experience.
