I've read alot of books in my past. Now days I kindof have a life so I don't read as much. Most of my spare time is spent doing stuff. But I still love to read. Here are my favorite authors. You can post yours at leisure and add good finds and book recommendations as you find them.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Terry Brooks == Shanara, and the demon within. He also wrote a starwarz book. He is the guy who started me on fantasy books when I was very young. My brothers had a computer game called Shanara and the original book "The Sword of Shanara" was included. I read it at the tender age of 7. Struggling through the book in the cold winter months as I sat on the heater vent.... He is a good author, not to complex, yet has some really solid books my favorite being the Elfstones of Shanara.

8.8/10

Robert Jordan == A very hardcore somewhat mainstream author. He's wrote ALOT of books. Not so many books but alot of pages. His series the "WHeel of Time" has been on the best selling lists. He has about 11 800 page Plus books out in the series. There are many critics who don't like him but I do. Trying to read through the whole series without a break can get to be very tedios. I'm excited about the resolution of the series. Even though in the last book things seem to be coming to a standstill in terms of the plotlines. Nothing really happened in the book untill I was 400 pages into it.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXGeorge R. R. Martin writes a series of books called "A song of Fire and ICe" his books are filled with warfare and grahpic material. ITs the age of dragons and chivilry. There are many many different POV in the books and he has a rich deep storyline. Full of intrigue. I am waiting in anticipation for his next book "A feast for Crows." In the series the main king dies, and various houses and groups Vie for control of the land. WHo will win is anyone's guess. In this series there are no real line between who is good and who is bad. READ THESE BOOKS. They will evoke about every feeling you have.

And I guess I'll have to talk about my main man R. A. Salvatore. I am a fan of his work. IT was alot better when I read it 5 years ago though. Now his 300 page books go by in a blink of an eye and arn't even that enthralling. I still am a fan and read his work though. I just found that he pales in comparison to the above authors. His favorite work of mine is the "Dark Elf Trilogy" The books follow the adventures of the much acclaimed Dritzz O durren. WHo if you play baulders gate you should be familiar with.
Edit*forgot my rating* 7.9/10

Laurell K Hamilton: I read all 12 (or 13?) of her books in a month. They were just too good. ^-^

David Farland: awesome stuff there.. He writes the Runelords series.

Tamora Pierce: My first favorite fantasy author, who writes about the people in Tortall and such.. good stuff.

Well the Harry Potter books technically are kids books after all.

Anywho... my choices are:

J.K. Rowling - Harry Potter series. I've loved them since I started reading them in my junior year of high school.

9.0/9.5

Terry Goodkind - The Sword of Truth series. I still need to finish reading these, but the characters are very relatable and the plot is excellent.

9.0

R.A. Salvatore - Drizzt series (Icewind Dale trilogy, Dark Elf trilogy, etc). A master of bringing the Drow to life. I'm obsessed with the Drow, so yeah.

8.0

Anne McCaffrey - Dragon Riders of Pern and Crystal Singer series. Her way with imagery is fantastic!

7.0

Elaine Cunningham - Starlight and Shadows trilogy. More Drow, what can I say.

7.5

Well I suppose I could have been 8, but not any older than that. I know its pretty crazy but having the computer game helped. I think it also helped because my dad didn't want me reading those kind of books with fantasy elements in it. I remember I didn't know alot of the words and it went pretty slowly. I had to reread alot of stuff to get the context. BUt yea, I find that reading is like everything else. The more you do it the better you become. The more you read the faster you read and your able to take in more things and comprehend.

Latly I don't read very often because of my gf and videogames. There are just certain series of books I keep up on.
