I'm a huge fan of the Castlevania series, so while it seems that they were aiming at a nostalgic experience with the game, it doesn't offer anything more than that.

It seems to me that it's just an upgraded Atari Donkey Kong style of Castlevania. I think the game was a wasted effort for me. What do you think? Was it at all mildly entertaining for you?

I'm a big fan of the Csatlevania series as well but I certainly did not like Castlevania: Harmony of Despair! And the 'Angry Video game Nerd' said it best... "What were they thinking!?"

Third, the layout is different and it gives me headaches sometimes. But when i think about it... it was either for multiplayer purposes or it was to keep us interested in "Lords of Shadow". And at least Harmony of Despair is a side scroller. I got it anyways because i'm a sucker for Castlevania... except Judgment.

It wasn't as good as the other games. I'm not a huge Castlevania fan, but the games are pretty good, this one was just... Bad.

I only played the demo, but it was bad. I mean, it just didn't play as good as previous games like SoTN. I know it wasn't supposed to be a clone, but it just... didn't play well, in my opinion. I'm also a fan of Castlevania, so... yeah. It's just bad. Also, for shame, Konami. You didn't get Yuri Lowenthal to voice Alucard again (he was the voice of Alucard in the upgraded PSP version of SoTN that comes in Dracula X)
