I was thinking, there's a lot of people on this site that don't speak English as a primary language, some may not speak it at all. Maybe I could make like 1 or 2 forums each dedicated to certain languages? They'd basically be general forums. So one would be for Spanish since that's a pretty common language, could make a forum for another language as well. Of course this would also require us to get someone to mod those forums who could also speak those languages and that might be a problem.

86%+ English - 9500+ Avg per Day
2.8% Spanish - 300+ Avg per Day
1.6% Portuguese - 176 Avg per Day
1.2% German - 134 Avg per Day
1% French - 115 Avg per Day

Davideo7 : That sounds like a good idea Davideo7! I've found that a lot of members speak Spanish and don't speak English fluently as well as other languages. If you really want to create these forums, I will be more than happy to Mod the Spanish one because I speak Spanish very fluently and is actually my first language. I am also learning Japanese at the University!

I don't think that is best way to go. I would rather you just convert everything to a new language. Have flags at bottom of page and people can click on a flag to convert the text to a new language. Hard task probably but it will work miracles.

Yeah I've noticed a lot of members have troubles posting since they don't know English very well. If anything, just a 'General Español' forum would be worth trying out so that those members have somewhere to post rather than posting on the board and causing confusion. Another cool thing about having such a forum is it'd be a great way for people to practice their Spanish skills by posting in there.


Btw, if you learn Japanese, you should help translate a Japanese roms!

Oh and I know how it feels to have trouble with English because I was one of those kids when I was growing up but hey, with a lot of help and practice on my English, I can proudly say it's a peace of cake for me now! It would be nice to have members practice their Spanish as well and if anyone wants to learn a few words or phrases in Spanish/English, I can help with that too! And oh yeah, I will be more than happy to translate Japanese roms especially since I plan to stay loyal to this site for many years to come! Just let me get better and fluent in Japanese first!

I should really add some flags to the site as well to let users have the site translated to their language so that they can navigate better. Overall this just draws in more traffic which is good.

Why not just make one section for non english languages and have everyone that posts there pick a "thread icon" from flag icons to signify what language their thread is in?

The thing is that there are alot of english only forums on the net, so it's not like it's a bad thing to remain that way.
Just chuck in some auto translators for the RGR and that should be good enough if you want to hold off on a bunch of sections that might not get much activity.

That's another reason why I mentioned make a general multi language section.
Cause if all the other language speakers make up such small percentages it makes more sense to me.
