For me, it would have to be The Club. You're just dropped into a tournament with no reason whatsoever. It doesn't make sense. You're just killing people and then you're ranked according to how many points you earn.

Of all the games I've played, I'd have to say Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles had the worst story. It was a sad excuse for a story, which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't expect us to take it so seriously. Let's compare it to Contra, where it's just a skeletal excuse plot so you have motivation to kill the bad guys. This game, however, has a skeletal arcing plot that you will never be allowed to get past.

I'd have to say that the worst I know of is the plot of Banjo-Kazooie. It's a pretty fun game and all but the plot is stupid. A witch kidnapping a kid just because she wants to be pretty? That sounds more like a plot for a Barbie game.

I'd have to say Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage and Spyro Year of the Dragon. The story lines were too friggin complicated and everyone talked too much. The first Spyro was simple: Rescue the dragons and dragon eggs and kill Gnasty Gnorc. The second and third games had ten million little things to do and nothing irritated me more than how much everyone talked. Especially the fairies. Geeze I miss the good old days when they just saved my progress and gave me uber fire.

septembern : I think you might've played the non-canonical ending of the game then. I'm pretty sure Starkiller ended up dying instead of Vader, and then they used his family crest as the emblem of the Rebellion.
I guess I'd have to say that I don't really play any games that have bad storylines(I only buy good games XD). But then again, I'd say that almost any newer Sonic game has a pretty horrible storyline...
