Problems with Saving on Pokemon LG and FR

Okay so here i was playin some pokemon...which is what i had been doing for a while..when i realized that i needed to save cause it had been some time. So once i did that it told me that there was a file already saved onto the emulator? but it starts me off as if there never was a separate file. and when i try to save, it gives me an error message telling me to "Please exchange the backup memory.".

I didnt think anything of the whole not saving thing cause i figured it would have been like all the other pokemon games and just saved when i needed it too, but it wont :'(

What should i do?

Well as I understand it the in game save for those games doesnt work too well, so you should use the save state feature instead.
Press the F2 key on your keyboard to save the game, and press F4 to load a saved game.
Hope this helps you out some.

Like said above me, pressing F2 will save your game and F4 will reload the last safe save file. It has to do with that 1M thing missing from the game that shows up when you start.
